I still don't get how S ranks are calculated

you're graded against other players who also play the champion. it matches your average of scores against the average of players. the better you do the better the chance you have of getting S rank.

im sorry if you go 10/1 on zed, thats not good enough, only B rank at best, you're not snowballing hard enough.

but if you go 2/0/10 on galio, thats an S rank if i ever did see one.

although you have high kda, your cs is probably low for 37mins. holding your score back, as most skarners primarily farm.

AFAIK it functions off of a comparison to the average score of all players on said champion. IDK completely though.

How Champion mastery ranks are scored: at first? When it first came out? Anyone who basically did "good" and won games without dying/ high CS ect got an S.

After the system came out riot started finding the "best" averages of all champions played and what role they were in.

(The numbers are examples so don't take them to seriously) So basically: say you are support teemo. It goes: Support teemos on average when they are at their best, they go: 10/0/10 235 CS and their game lengths are about 30 minutes. That is the line where most support teemos at their best will hit and very rarely will any support teemo do better than that.

Now let's say you go supportmo, you go 7/0/7. 135CS you did good but not the best.

Basically the ranks are as follows (note: regulars and +'s are for if you won the game only, minuses are assuming you lost) S+: did better than the best average S: did just as good as best average S-: did just as good as best average or better but lost the game. A+:won game but had your slip ups A: did good but didn't hit the best average mark Minus: lost the game but did pretty well B+:only died 3-4 times remained positive B: won the game and had a positive score Minus: positive score but lost C+:maybe only 1 kill positive C: did alright broke even maybe Minus: lost game but broke even D+: you had a lot of assists for going negative D: you went negative but won Minus: lost the game without doing shitty

I don't really get it either. For my game, did the most damage on the team, got the most towers, helped in all drags and inhibs and went 9-0-5 with 121cs in a 26 minute game, yet the 5-2-0 Master Yi and 9-3-0 Garen got the S's.

I GOT 37/2/5 on fiora and i destroyed 6 turrets and i did not get a S

You score actually makes sense, you were neither the best player or had the best KDA on the team, second lowest CS to a support player, and although you didn't die and was "clean", there were probably things you could have done better.

Wards placement and counter warding, taking Objectives (drakes, rift herald or baron). and based on the opponents score, they weren't very good.

having 0 deaths does not = S rank

I got an S (no not an S-) on Kha Zix when All Random URF was out for hiting someone once and getting an assist while we were destroying thier nexus. My stats were literally 0/0/1 XD wth.

I went 19/1 and got A+ and someone else stealing my kills went 15/5 and got S rank

Me too. I played Fiora top once. I carried the team with 23/6/12 with only 171 cs but got an (A-)!!!! God knows how they calculate these ranks.

Yeah I was in every team fight and I had 13 kg one death and over 15 assists assists as Darius and push my lane all the way to their nexus towers got an S-! I also pushed many other towers. Sadly I am level six Darius and need that S to be at level seven. Rage quit!

It depends on champion/ role. But really, this is how it works.. Since you had 117 cs at 37 minutes in the game.. You wouldn't get an S due to your character. Now, if you had around 200+ that would be an S or S+ rank. (I have mastery 7 Skarner). Your Cs is a big part/ ward counts. Laning phase people should be at around 100 by 13 mins and continue csing hard to really get that S or solid S+. I just did a 30 minute game where I was 6-0-2 with 213 cs as Renekton top, still only an A+. (Not a lot of kill participation due to fighting alone a lot) And idk how many times I warded. Wards also factor in to solid S and S+ ranks. Hope that helps...

i went 23/3/2 and got an a+ while my supp went 0/2/18 and got an s- and we won from my carry because the total kills at the end was 30 for our team so i got 75 percent of the kills had 201 cs but only got an a+ which to me made no sense and the game was only 30 mins

Your CS wasn't so great, even if you're a jungler. Maybe that's why?

I play Teemo adc. I have a paltry 8/1/7, a cs of 109, and I take down only 1 turret. The game went on for 21:29 before the enemy team surrendered. Someone tell me how this is even higher than a B in the first place?
