Well I have some questions if Lux isn't getting nerfed anytime soon

How do you dodge her E? She's the worst matchup against me. Most of the time I can't play against her because of that harass, if you try to grab a creep she'll just activate her passive. So anyone can give me tips on how to dodge her E, especially with immobile mages like Annie or Anivia

its very reliable and difficult to dodge.

however you can get a little bit of health and mr and make her run out of mana before her poke becomes even close to dangerous to you. her e itself deals little damage, has a high mana cost and a 10 second cooldown.

another strategy is to push in minions hard agaisnt her to force her to use her e to waveclear instead of poking at you.

Good tip man, I'll use it. Thanks

Yeah that tip is quite good.Don't let her proc her passive after she has used E :P Or just push your lane hard to her turret but make sure you ward.I played yesterday against lux as GP and just pushed the lane hard , it ended up with her having less cs than me :D Sorry btw I am not a mid lane player :P

Impossible to dodge. You can only CC her when she goes for E or tries to proc her passive, then return damage.

Sounds good as well, Thanks for the tip.

Lux is just a little too safe honestly, yes she is an immobile mage, but considering how much utility she has for such little risk is a little ridiculous.

but isnt that comparable to most support mages? look at lulu or orianna for example.

i think her safety is partially due to this item 3092 being a huge problem right now.

lulu and orianna have ~300 less effective range, thats a huge difference. Lux can use her entire kit without ever getting in any real combat distance, even a malphite has problems engageing on her as she outranges her ult by a good margin. With Lux i can land q+r on victor for example without beeing in his E range. With lulu or ori i would always have to be carefull about the deathray.

You don't dodge it, she needs to mess it up. Unless your MS is about 400.

Daxanater1 votes

My MS is fine, I don't understand what do you mean about mess up. It's a simple skill shot with a wide diameter and lengthy. Thanks for the tip though.

By "mess up" he means Lux missing on her own.

Travel time + cast time is just below a second, radius of singularity is 350 and most champions have radius bigger than 50 units. This means that unless you can cover around 400 units in a second - that means you have 400 movement speed, MS - you can't dodge it on foot, you need a dash. If you think you dodge it, most of the time it means Lux aimed very poorly.

Nar7ia2 votes

Like the guy below me said - you can't really dodge it without dashes ; seeing as you play immobile mages sorry to say but its going to be near impossible to dodge it :l Best way to deal with it in lane is to probably just stay out of its range.

But it's also impossible to farm, the wave goes to my tower and both ways it's still gonna hit me, thanks for the tip though.

You have to flash or some major mobility. You can't otherwise.

Dodge to the side, Lux likely fired it behind you expecting you to move that way. And be outside your wave, to eliminate creep block and reduce her ability to push while harassing.

The ability the dodge it depends on your distance from Lux, but if she's far away it's definitely dodgeable no matter how many pieces of trash tell you otherwise because they can't. Moreover, if you're ranged I advise you stand outside the wave and shove. This will force Lux to pick between casting E on you and waveclearing with it, and she'll either get pushed under her tower and denied cs or you won't have to worry about her E. The other thing to know is that her E is high mana cost, it's Lux proccing her passive that makes it really hurt. You can drink potion until she runs out of mana if she's just using E, but if she gets near enough to auto you'll either be zoned or you should counter trade.

I've tried this countless of times. I think everyone attempted dodging it. The cons of this is just the creep deny. Thanks for the tip though.

Some say it should be like a gragas Q? what do you think?

just talk about Rainbows and she'll be distracted then kill her.

Honestly, there are two kinds of luxes, the ones that try to harass and farm at the same time by hitting you and the minions, and the ones that try to poke, it takes a little bit of time, to get what type of lux is against you, but if the pokes ones generally try to hit you by send it either to the side, or behind you, the best way, is to go forward toward them, very few lux actually expect that, I killed quite a few lux that way. against the farming type, well they center their skill in a way that can hit the minions as well, they are usually very predictable, and due to that easier to avoid with practice.
