PSA: Don't ever first time a champion in ranked.

^ This game right here, our yasuo decided to first time yasuo since his champ khazix was picked. I had first pick and even offered him to trade me voli for kha and he goes jg and I go top but he still declined...

Look I'm not saying to flame them for first timing a champ, this is just a great suggestion on how to not lose a game for your team 10 minutes into the game.

I don't care how many people will down vote this because of what I am going to say. I believe first timing a champion in ranked, (and when I mean first time I mean FIRST TIME, you've never played him in normals at all and have 0 masterie points on him) it is an auto loss for your team.'

So please do not first time a champion at all in ranked. First timing involves a loss and a lot of flaming from your teammates. So don't.

I never reasoned with him really. I just went a long with it and realized he's never played yasuo at all. When I thought he meant first time yas he meant only in ranked. I thought he played him before.

I don't advocate flaming, but if there's anything in this game that honestly deserves it it's picking a champion you've never played before in ranked. That's literally intentionally feeding. You don't have good intentions.

Honestly, as long as you have played enough to get into ranked, you should be at least halfway decent. And it doesnt take much to figure out enough of the basics to not feed, except with some of the most complicated champions...

You might not pull of stellar plays, but srsly, 12 deaths, on one of the most mobile champs?!?

The closest I've come to first timing a champ is when tank Fiora was a thing, I played tank Fiora for the first time despite only having ever played her AD previously.

Even if it isn't gold...

People seem to think that people in Bronze are all lobotomized or something but its normally just a lack of game knowledge. It hurts a team just as much if people don't know the champion they are playing. I know the reason I'm just now getting into silver is because I've had a general lack of map awareness and never really put much emphasis on objectives. It really has nothing to do with everyone in bronze being shit at their champions.

My problem is that I can do perfectly fine in my games but I have a hard time being the only hard carry on a team. (I main Rengar and Elise jungle)

Chances are you're probably focusing too much on the "hard carry" part and not being a team player. Try switching to a utility based jungler, like sejuani, malphite, or maokai. I know for my main role, I took a break from aggressive supports to learn champions like soraka and Janna, and when I came back I had a much much better understanding of how to be a team player, even when I am playing a high damage support like brand or morgana

See that's the mentality I mean. When your whole goal is to deal damage, you forget about team and objective control. Maokai doesn't really build anything but a rod of ages for damage, but he gets REALLY tanky, and his cc and just sheer tanking ability can help by our team a ton.

Another one I thought of you might like is nautilus? That guy has cc out the wazzoo, and to be fair can deal quite a bit of damage with the q e combo

I don't forget about team and objectives, I make sure we get towers off ganks and I make sure our team gets dragons.

But I will give nautilus a try to see if I can make something work. I play Sion jungle on occasion as well.

First timing a Champ is no auto loose, yeah it's not the smartest move to pull of, but some people dont take rank as serious a you do. They just consider it the best place to play League and dont care for LP or climbing.

I usually stick with my favorits Swain AurelionSol Azir Veigar Velkoz but I've also done some experiments in Ranked, First Time Jhin won*, First Time Nami won hard on lane and later on the game. And my favorite: First Time Amumu , Carried the famous 1v9, that was amazing <3

(Although after that first win I had a negative winrate on him. <.< )

Taric I first timed in Ranked as well after watching a streamer having fun with him.. (wait that sounds wrong)... that's ages ago so I have no Idea how I played, but I do remember a riddiculous high winrate after 20 more Games, so I guess that was a success as well. ^^ ** Sure you had a pretty bad example here, but I'm betting my hat you've seen a ton first times already you didn't even notice! =D **

They should have it so you need Mastery 3+ to play ranked with a champion.

Im up for it, if lets say you'll pick the champ but you're actually trading it with someone, so before you get to pick the champ, the system verifies if ally has mastery 3 and the ally has to accept it

Seeing this post reminds me of the time I went 3 14 on Yasuo on ranked. Won because our Malz got his third item. But to be fair, our Nidalee jungle banned my champion-Fizz- because she wanted "an AD mid." So I can't be at fault... right?
