No other champion takes the concept to a whole new level. If you are playing an immobile skillshot mage against a yasuo you will be completely useless in teamfights because of 1 ability, his wind wall. This ability lasts 4 seconds and has a 9.9 seconds cooldown with 45% cdr. You can't wait out his wall because he will just kill you before it expires. He can make many mistakes and not get punished because of how overloaded his kit is. Meanwhile if you make one mistake against him you are dead.

And what Yasuo player is going to have 45% CDR? He gets 20% if he goes TF, but besides that item, nothing he builds has CDR (as nothing he has is really worth getting CDR for. It's why he's so weak in modes like URF)

No Yasuo builds CDR in 99% of conventional builds
No Yasuo goes that far into the cunning tree to even be able to get that extra 5%

Maybe you should play really easy champions to play in mid lane until you get the feel for the game. The reason anyone is NOT in diamond, is because they try to play things that deliberately handicap them due to the problems each champion has, over the good parts of the champion. Something like annie DESTROYS yasuo because shes all around just goo,d and its why so many people in lower elo find her "op" because they don't know the game well enough to deal with her.

Its the same thing as in players saying "i want to win worlds" but wont play in the best environment to do so, they go for the money, which is LCS. Its the same as in when players say "I want to get to diamond" or masters or whatever, but they won't use the best tools to get to that level. Anyone who says they wnat to be high elo, or even attempts to be, and they don't play champions that enable them to learn the game first, without worrying about mechanically demanding stuff, they are lying to themselves. And if you are using these tools, (or picking them in this case) but aren't taking the real effort to improve, then you are wasting your time there.

Again, if you really have a problem enough to tell other people about it, then you should take your own effort first to overcome it. If your arguement is "but I don't really care, its just a game" then why are you making a thread like this.

If you really have a problem with a champion, then play an easy one and learn to play against other people, punish mistakes instead of force them. Learn the game. If you are complaining like this over a champion and can't find the effort to overcome such a simple problem,** then you shouldn't be making these threads, you should be keeping them to yourself.**

You forgot Lux . If you hit your binding before he windwalls, you can ult off it as his windwall CAN NOT stop Lux's ult. I've counter-picked Lux into Yasuo a few times, works well when you know how to play her. And with her shield and slow on her e, you have a chance to dual him OR escape. She may be squish and have no real escapes, but she's hella strong against Yas.

And, while not really a counter, Velkoz 's ult also goes through the windwall.

Now, to the OP, did you know you can walk AROUND the windwall? Yeah, you can. It's amazing I know, being able to just right click to reposition yourself against the windwall.

I dont really play lux, unless I get her in ARAM. :P 45% cdr for the laser-tastic win!

I bet her E is really useful against yas as well. Easily procing his shield while clearing minions.

My gut says it would be more of a skill matchup than a good old fashioned counter, but I can see what you mean.

It is mostly skill, as you have to know when and how to use her stuff. But she's still a counter to him since he can't block the ult and the snare if Yas jumps in. I also forgot Morgana, who's a HUGE counter to him. If you can time it right, Yasuo can not ult you as Morgana and his wind wall can't block the soil or ult, and using her ult, shield and snare when he jumps on post-6 usually ends with the Yasuo dead or having no choice but to back off if you can do it right.

Again, still mostly skill, but yeah. If he can't jump away, he's dead most the time. :p
