ok not going to lie... it doesn't have much counterplay, it is possible to dodge it with movement skills. but most champs cant walk out of it withoutitem 1306 if it is placed properly

there are some things you can do though.. when in lane lux's E is her best way to clear creep, so if you stand away form the creep (like to the side) when your last hitting you make her choose between hitting the creep with her E or hitting you.. if she uses it on the creep, it's a good time to engage her as it has a relatively long cooldown. Granted she can still snare you to stop you but if she misses then she will be completely helpless.

another good way to get ahead vs lux is getting a good gank. all you need to so is bait our her snare and as soon as you see it then go in.. she has no mobility and will likely waste a summoner or die. in a teamfight always assume lux's ulti is off cooldown and play accordingly. its pretty easy to dodge if your looking for it to come

i do play lux but i mostly play her as support. and IF you miss that snare... you better be prepared to usesummoner 4

this is pretty obvious. the only people that say that this ability has counterplay are the lux mains and fotm kids

There are lots of skills that don't have counterplay. Congrats for finding 1 out of 80% of the skills that don't have counterplay

MasterYi Q has no counterplay KogMaw E has no counterplay Nami W has no counterplay Leblanc W has no counterplay (actually like all her skills do but still) Draven E has no counterplay Alistar W-Q combo has no counterplay Xerath W has no counterplay Jayce Q (enlarged) has no counterplay

Shall I go on?

Its a skill that pokes from afar thats hard to dodge. Whats new.

Next you're gonna be complaining that baron gives the enemy too much sieging power? Or that Karthus' slow is too much? Or that ignite does too much true damage?

For a lux QQ thread, the OP is a pretty lame argument (also yes I'm sick of the boards constantly complaining that now LUX is op instead of rengar or jinx or vayne or thresh. How the hell did LUX become a part of this? O.o)

Actually, it does tons of damage. It has huge range and doesn't get blocked by minions. Slows everybody inside of it. The AoE on it is pretty ridiculous. It is extremely mana efficient, and is extremely easy to poke and get cs with at the same time due to it's huge AOE.

Most of what you said has counterplay. Your argument is extremely illogical. Most of the champions you stated aren't even OP.

Well she is a Burst Champion primarily, so defensive itemization honestly ought to be a huge part of countering her.

I remember back when people complained her E wasn't strong enough. Funnier too that the biggest change since then was a QoL change.

Yasuo and yolo. The mobility gives her a huge pain to land her skills, and windwall blocks everything from her - or it should be. I still don't get why windwall doesn't block her ult, since windwall blocks projectiles and her ult is light particles moving from one place to another.

Her ult isn't a projectile its a lazer. Same with vel's ult. They don't actually technically leave the champion therefore they're not lazers. Not sure if this would apply to darius' q tho (always been curious about it).

I wouldn't exactly call 80-130 mana efficient when it still costs more than her ult late and is actually the most expensive skill early. So mana efficient my ass lol. As for the huge range and doesn't get blocked my minions:

Brand W Xerath W Chogath Q

All mages just like lux. Not to mention that these are actually more mana efficient than lux's e. (I never did get why people didn't complain about brand. His passive is literally a bork pre-adc rework. Also, if you're using her e to get cs with a 100 mana cost with only 500 or so mana. You're not gonna be using it for long lol.

Anything can sound op if you list all its strengths. Thats only one part of Lux's kit. You forget that she is a squishy mage who can be bursted very easily if caught.....just like all mages.

But SERIOUSLY THOUGH. WHY IS BRAND NOT CONSIDERED OP BY THE BOARDS??? His passive is a bork, all his skills apply his passive. His W does fucktons of dmg if they're ablaze. Both his W and E are GREAT farming AND poking tools. His Q is a stun that lasts a full 2 seconds. Almost the same as Ekko's W. How has no one seen this??? Like in a 1v1, brand will melt lux. Actually in a 1v1, half the mages will melt lux.

Most of what you said has counterplay. Your argument is extremely illogical. Most of the champions you stated aren't even OP.

That was the point. What you said applies to all champs OP or not. Since it does I was pointing out Lux wasn't op. Also most of what I said is just like what you said. They're a skillshot that hits a champ. Just like lux.

Yi's Q point and click. No counterplay. He's getting it off whether you like it or not if its used. Kog's E skillshot that slows just like lux and if ap kog, can do buttloads of damage. No counterplay to the slow as the enemy is getting hit if they're in range to AA or CS. Nami W also point and click. No counterplay again. Her W also heals. Leblanc W.....do I need to explain this? Draven E is a SUPER wide skillshot that does damage and slows. Also a ministun. If you get hit by it, YOU'RE TAKING HITS, just like lux. Also possibility of death cause Draven and axes and speed boost. Alistar W-Q....again do I need to explain? Xerath W super easy to hit. Literally almost the exact same as lux E which you said doesn't have much counterplay. Slightly less range but his q makes up for that Jayce Q....have you tried to dodge that when Jayce was trying to hit you with it? Go 5 feet away from the blast and it still hits you.

well, if you know the range sometimes u can just slide around but yea...

LegacyDAP1 votes

Kind of, but not really. I know the range and it's so large you can't actually go for cs (against a good lux) without taking damage.

Papa Slothy1 votes

I don't think it's a huge problem but it does have absurd range

Mokkun1 votes

I dunno, I feel like Lux's E is easier to avoid than Cho'Gath's rupture, and I can see where rupture is going to be. Just gotta figure out whether they aim ahead or behind you routinely and go the other way.
