The State of bot lane is pretty sad

I don't really get the state of the game right now, bot lane has just been one team picking a high damage great laner like Zyra and Caitlyn and the other team if forced to pick something super safe and boring like Janna or Nami with an Ezreal.

It's just so boring when every game is just surviving laning phase rather than having an even bot lane that both have to do things not playing Janna Soraka or Nami and Just spamming healing and shielding.

Secondly the fact how the Lane bullies scale wayyy too hard into the late game becoming hypercarries with the ability to carry even when going even, if they don't do their job of putting down someone and ending the game early they should not be able to still 1v1 the enemy Ezreal or Varus.

I'm sure doing this would put Sustain supports stronger than they already are which they are already pretty strong but i don't feel like anyone would complain if soraka Nami and Janna all got nerfs (Cause seriously screw uninteractive shield or heal bots)

The constant 4 man ganks are whats bad about botlane.

I can ward and ask my top laner to hold onto TP.

Doesn't mean it will work 100% of the time.

What ELO are you in if you think Ezreal/Nami is "boring" lane O.o

And explain to me what you mean by "uninteractive shield or heal bots", because I don't think League has any of those within its champion pool.

The one where they farm for 10 minutes because they can't fight with a tear while Zyra or Karma and Caitlyn or Jhin sit there trying to kill them only to contemplate why even tryng when Nami heals a quarter of their Hp bar on a 10 second cooldown with no CDR

Also if you think there are no uninteractive Shield or heal bots I have some news for you Soraka and Janna haven't been removed yet and they don't even try to do anything during laning phase they just press their heal or shield button on the ADC whenever they are taking damage.

Then you're either doing it wrong or getting the wrong supports. If they go Zyra or Karma, I simply go the other, unless the enemy team is smart and ban them. Either one works well to counter poke the other.

Supporting has always been about controlling and manipulating the lane. That does not always mean active aggression. You either create or patiently wait for windows and seize upon them as much as possible. Janna is only as passive a support as you make her. She has had a steady winrate every season because she's a reliable pick.

As for boredom, that's more a state of mind. I enjoy supporting regardless of matchups. You have to find joy in the role simply because of the role itself.

She doesn't. Ebb and Flow: 65 / 95 / 125 / 155 / 185 (+ 30% AP) With say, 15 AP in runes and item 3303 we are talking 71 (lvl 1) / 101 (lvl 4) / 131 (lvl 5) heal... over ten seconds. This translates to

71/484 = 14.6% 101/666 = 15.2% 131/732 = 17.9%

Of Ezreal 's healthpool. This corresponds to about 2-3 auto attacks after armor. 2-3 auto attacks is a lot but doesn't make them unkillable. Also, playing Nami as a healbot is misuse of the champion. She can play aggressive into Cait /Zyra at least until lvl 2, whittling them down.

That being said, thanks to Lucian, MF and Draven feeling weak, Cait has maybe little too easy time on lane as the other meta ADC's cannot really touch her... until late game.

The problem is that while Nami can play aggressive into them she doesn't need to, she can just sit back and Heal her ADC during laning phase and still go even and wait for a gank with her ult.

I would be completely ok if these heal bot supports actually had to do something, they don't have to initate anything really they can just chill behind their ADC and go even in almost any matchup.

Bard in my opinion is a support with sustain done well, sure you can sit back and heal only but he won't be sucessfull if he only does that because his heals take time to charge and take a crapton of mana.

Ok, so you never played with a good Soraka or Janna. That explains your POV and shows why you are so wrong.

I don't think you can really tell if they are good at the champion all you really need to do is position and half a brain

Dêcoy1 votes

Still more than ADC. They don't need brain.

I know what you're saying but tbh, for most people it's the right thing to do. If you can't win your lane and you get a powerspike later, you just try and control it. Supports are a role that like to counterpick in champion select, because if they lack the right utility, they'll have a painful, boring game guaranteed.

If you're vs a sustain lane, you have to go for the kill, and win the lane. Force them to rotate and punish them for existing. If your jungler decides to exist, you can let them come to your tower, then kill them.

I went Jhin withSoraka vs VayneSona - I knew how it'd pan out the second our jungler said '1st time Jarvan'- No-one could kill anyone else, but we needed to kill them. Our jungler wasn't into it, so my only option was to deny CS. But it didn't matter that Vayne didn't get CS, it didn't matter that her jungler's ganks failed, it didn't matter how much I beat down Vayne or Sona, only to have them heal... -Because late-game, without fail, Sona is a walking fountain. Yes, Sona was the threat.

Also I don't know why folks are saying Ez-Nami isn't a dull lane. It's just like the situation above- Ez gets a lot of free power just off of stacking tear, escape and sustain makes an impossible kill- so if he isn't confident in winning a trade(which he shouldn't be) he just sits back and takes the CS he can. I vs'd Ez (1v2) yesterday and he would NOT leave lane, even though there was a 4v3 (his team being -annihilated-) on the rest of the map. 30 minutes into game, his team is dying- and Ez is still farming for his first damage item. (that one was particulaly bad) Priorities

Nami is one of if not the most balanced champion in the game. I think those champs are just strong because they can heal and their heal plus item 3107 makes it really dumb.
