Oh that's why people keep banning Swain!
Nobody will fucking build Executioner's Calling.
#800 Gold is too much.
Guess the AP mid should try to rush Morell for 3000 gold.

He doesn't even heal for that much lmao, it's way less than it was before.
I think the part where Swain doesn't depend on Spirit Visage at all for more healing just shows a lot.
I agree.
Are you saying cuz the heal is too low to want to opt for it? Or that the healing is so high that he doesn't need to?
Cuz I definitely think they aren't building it cuz of the former.
All of his health gain from his ult is mostly from the activation bonus. Most Swains just pop the second part of the ult ASAP in fear of being CC'd/bursted down before they can use it.
The latter. The healing amount was already standardized/sufficient enough to sustain Swain throughout the teamfight, alongside with some defensive HP/Armor builds like Rylai, Haunting Guise & Zhonyas.
I'm not just talking about the healing from his ult. His passive also gives him close to sufficient amount of healing as well.
Honestly. The heal is kinda pathetic now. It's still nice but the real health gain is from the instant activation bonus.
Plus the thing has a super low base and requires AP to even heal anything.
His healing is trash now. You don't need executioners really. His tankiness is from the bonus HP he gets and the resolve tree which he sometimes goes into.
His healing later is nothing to write home about. Mid-game is Swain's power-spike and he gets healing from multiple sources - his W procs his passive healing, his passive active is proc'ed off of all immobilizing CC, and killing champions heals him as well. This is all in addition to his ultimate healing, as well as the bonus healing he gets from casting spells (the passive of RoA and Abyssal). If the enemy ADC is really rolling at this point, then sure, it's nothing to really panic too much about - but if your team's behind or Swain's far enough ahead, the healing makes him virtually unkillable, where I've been very easily able to 1v3 and get a triple and survive, or 1v5 and pick up a double before dying or the enemy team just running away.
It's 800 gold to make him far more manageable. That's entirely serviceable and there's no reason really not to if Swain's ever a threat.
Here I thought I was the only person in the world complaining about this stuff.
The last time I heard complaints about accessibility to Grievous Wounds we got
.
I ban him because he's very tanky while still dealing a lot of damage due to his passive, making my jungle-assassin playstyle significantly more difficult. His W giving vision, his ult being AoE, and his Q giving him lane sustain are all tools designed to make my life hell trying to gank him. I cannot burst him down because of his tankiness, yet he can burst me down unlike actual tanks. This is very frustrating to me personally. He also has nearly a 55% win rate in silver, which is the average elo of me and my teams MMR across all my normal games. And the average games played on him is only 4. So that's saying on average, somebody can play him 4 games and reach 55% winrate proficiency on him. It also says that with 150 games of experience his winrate shoots up to 59%. I can't vouch for the validity of the data obviously, I don't have any way to know if this is true. Fact check me if this doesn't sound right by all means
Lookin at the chart comparing most mid laners, he has far fewer gold and kills and damage (he closes games out quicker) but he has significantly higher damage taken and win rate. This is from his tankiness. My only guess is that he can stay in lane because of this HP boost and Q healing, letting him get towers quicker? First tower gold might affect this.
His winrate is exceedingly high in the mid game, actually, and the late game it really falls off. (Just looking at data here. I ban him every game so this isn't personal experience. Personal experience doesn't amount to much when talking about data anyway.) So his games usually end out before the ADC has the chance to teamfight, lose, realize it's because he is healing too much, and lose because they refused to buy that item. I don't think his healing is the reason for his ban rate.
maybe people ban him because he can push minion waves, has a decent cc, healing, is generally tanky, and have a phobia of birds. Ok, the last one is probably a pretty small minority, but maybe.
