So friend is a new player and lvling to 30 has so many smurfs he is about dont with the game

He is not even lvl 30 and is about done. Commonly sees Gold+ duo with bronze or under 30 and his team is all new.

What is riot thinking? He has not even hit Ranked to see how F'ed up the MMR system is.

I have only been playing for about 6 months, lvl 66 now with a S5 soloq rank, and i can count the number of times i have seen a gold border in my games on one hand. There must be something special about his in game play to get him matched with players with a high MMR. Is he playing solo or as a group? if he is grouped is he playing with someone that has a high skill in the game that could be drawing in this stiffer competition?
