Normal URF: Everyone plays their favorite OP hero and the matches are balanced because everyone is playing something overpowered.
Random URF: Everyone gets a hero that may be either good or shit, match balance is decided by a dice roll & players are frustrated because they can't use their favorite champ at will.

If you want freedom, go to Regular League. If you want fun, play Urf. Fun had to come at the cost of freedom, because nobody wanted to have fun in Urf, they wanted to win. If they want to win so bad, they can go play in a mode where winning actually matters. Those people crowded out the Urf players that just wanted to have fun, and it seriously damaged the image of the game mode in general. No, you won't be able to just play whatever champion you want, but it's Urf, you can always try something new with the champion you DID get. There's still the freedom to do that at the very least

Most Arma accounts have Soraka, Sona, and lots of poke mages on them. This is an issue on ARAM because you aren't allowed to back and you have mana costs to deal with. On Urf, healing is so gimped to shit it's not even funny, and ganking actually exists on SR

If someone is playing URF broken champions, you will be massacred with any non meta URF champions. I'm not sure about you, but I'm pretty sure that for me and for the rest of the community, being massacred, no matter the game mode, is not fun.

Getting to pick and choose which champions you play in URF is the same thing as getting to choose your champions in ARAM. And we already know how much of a problem ARAM only accounts are.

Risk of Fate1 votesI actually prefer it this way, though I really wish they would unlock the entire champion pool for everyone instead of those you own + FRotW. I think URF is fun, but it got boring seeing Zed, Zed, Zed, Sona, Sona, Lux in every match and get forced to with infuriating picks like Fizz, LeBlanc, and Master Yi because people value wins over enjoyment.
