Fiddlesticks/Morgana Nerf, or The Classic Kneejerk Nerf

Could we look at why Fiddlesticks is being played as bottom support and what enabled this? Nah just straight nerf him and fuck over literally every Fiddlesticks player for reasons OUT OF OUR CONTROL. I have never even played a game of Fiddle Support in my life, I like playing him mid or top sometimes. FUCK YOU.

I am SO. SICK. of seeing this happen EVERY. TIME. environmental factors push a champion too far in temporary meta circumstances that won't exist a year from now. They are immediately nerfed but the new items, meta, jungle changes, etc. that enabled this are left to be slowly ~~fine tuned~~ until Riot decides to give up and throw it out for a new idea next season.

Imo he the only thing that could take a nerf is his E early damage, the poke is too strong while helping to waveclear with no effort at near to no mana cost (played him support a lot, I know what I'm talking about). Other than that, well it's Fiddle, known fact that he shits on any melee champion, it's his job

Tbh they should've nerfed the Q. If it was made conditional (like Nocturne's) rather than instant point and click, it wouldn't be so bad.

Fiddle has no way to escape, with everyone having crazy mobility, and he's an extremely squishy champ, ranged, and not AD. He relies on his spells. If you reach him, he won't even be able to deal damage, unless (in your example), he would have to Q > Zhonya > Drain which would make it a terrible champion. Nocturne can rely on his AA, has a spellshield and a movement speed buff (and is fairly tanky), FIddle doesn't and only has 2 damage spells (aside of his ult) and his E doesn't do damage in a 1v1 situation

Fiddle was picked as a support for his super safe harass method. You would throw that spell on a creep and hope it to bounce into ennemy champions. The spell was cheap, powerful and provided a silence which is enough to disrupt ennemies.

Honestly, if you're playing jungle with Fiddle, mana shouldn't be a problem for you since they buffed they buffed item 1039 and gave item 1402 mana. Also, don't tell me that 5 dmg nerf on his E is dramatic.

If you're playing mid with Fiddle, you'll need to better your mana and that's a thing they tried to do for all Mages on patch 8.9 . Fiddlestick got a massive 100 extra mana on level 1 coupled with a higher mana regeneration. That was a huge buff for his harrassing. His E cooldown got reduced to 10 seconds from all rank.

On the other side, support Fiddles who mainly cast E to harass champions will suffer as it basically cost 40% more mana.

As for Morgana, her spell shield cost 50 at all rank which was pretty OP in my opinion. Bumping to 80 mana was only fair.

TL;DR : Fiddle got steady buffs since patch 6.24 and now a good nerf got it him and you're whining
