Reworking Ezreal's W
Ezreal's W has always been a weird skill. From originally being very OP then to OP and then to it's current form which is really only useful on AP Ez. Everyone agrees it needs to be changed in some way. My thoughts:
W - Ezreal fires a wave of energy in a line, dealing magic damage to enemy champions struck and marking them with unstable energy for a couple of seconds.
Unstable energy would modify Ezreal's remaining skills (proposed changes in bold).
Q - Ezreal fires a bolt of energy in a line, dealing physical damage to the first enemy hit, and applying on-hit effects. If Mystic Shot successfully hits an enemy, Mystic Shot explodes refreshing all Ezreal's abilities' cooldowns by 1.5 seconds and dealing damage to any enemy champion marked with unstable energy behind the target.
E - Ezreal blinks to the target location, firing a homing bolt that deals magic damage to the nearest enemy champion marked by unstable energy. If no champions marked with unstable energy are nearby, the homing bullet deals magic damage to the nearest enemy.
R - After gathering energy for 1 second, Ezreal fires an Trueshot Barrage Minimap energy missile in the target direction, dealing magic damage to enemies it passes through. Each enemy hit reduces the missile's damage by 10%, down to a minimum 30% damage. Enemy champions marked with unstable energy take full damage from Trueshot Barrage.
Why this type of change would work:
- Makes W a one point wonder for AD Ez while not gutting it for AP Ez.
- Helps E's targeting which can often be as much luck as being a skillshot.
- Gives a window that allows Ezreal to bypass bodyblocking tanks and creeps.
