Smite is a midlaner?

So, with the new Scuttle buffs, many midlaners in higher ELOs are taking Smite in order to secure the Scuttle's EXP and large amounts of gold. This information is nothing new.

However, I don't know if I should be taking Smite on my current midlaners. I really only play Ekko and Zoe, and I can see smite being taken on Ekko, replacing Teleport, but I don't even know if this is optimal. When referring to Zoe, I think Heal over Smite is the better option here. But these are Bronze thoughts so I could most definitely be wrong.

Which midlaners should find Smite valuable, and which shouldn't? Should I be taking Smite on Zoe? Ekko? Both? Or neither?

smite on zoe is pretty nice since it gives her w more often, of course people who do this normally take unsealed spell book on her too

I dont know if i should take smite on my champions cuz i play mainly lux ziggs zoe syndra, maybe someone knows here

Open spellbook. Set smite as default.

Don't forget that Runic echoes was buffed, any mage can go back to having infinite mana when building it. This mixed in with the scuttle changes means that you should almost always be taking smite mid (as an ap laner).

Any midlaner that you can run "spellbook" on, Zoe is a good choice for example, could take smite and use the swap feature when needing something else.
