"But I need ap, sona is useless without ap"

"I dont need to build sightstone, WHILE im far behind, so im just going to rush lich bane and don't bother playing support"

WTF? LOL

who the hell.. was it.. to think this champ was a great idea to be designed? It litearlly annoys me as hell as to how ignorant sona mains are not even knowing the game too well while she is ridiculously easy to play and very boring as well which all you gotta do is position, predict, ward, point and click and know when to go in.

now im not saying this to all ELO's, its low elos who play her that annoys me, any1 thats diamond or higher with her I can accept that

So like Every other champion?

in bronze you are lucky if your support even picks a support champ and not something like Ezreal Ryze Nasus and lastly Heimerdinger . also your lucky if they know what a sightstone is.

This is a trend happening among most AP supports in Gold or below.

They take ignite, no sightstone, full AP runes. Then they try to overwhelm the enemy bot lane with the amount of damage they do and how aggressive they are. It's easy to outplay, but it's annoying to deal with. What they don't realize is in this meta a team without an ADC automatically loses. You can't compete with your ADC unless you think you can cause a surrender by 20 minutes.

It's a response to how people generally view the support role as insignificant. I've seen people call supports wardbots, and that's the general sentiment you get from your teammates. Also it's not cute being 0/0/4 at level 6 then roaming mid game only to see everyone else is like level 9.

Riot remains asleep on this issue, so we're going to continue to this recipe for disaster play out.

Marksman update + Fake supports + Junglers visiting top lane more = A very bad time for everyone.

So... adcs are good in low elo? Being a support main, they definitely- far and away, are rarely good. Adc is one of the most difficult roles mechanically to play. Not to mention positionally.

If I was a sona in low elo, I'd get some ap and move speed quick and try to carry. However, there is no way in hell i would skip a sightstone.

Being a carry support is all well and good, but support first, then carry when you've established a lead. Though on the other hand, sometimes there isn't much you can do with a bad adc but get vision, ap, and try to get some other lanes fed. Just like a jungle you have to know where to most effectively spend your time.

I hate buying Sightstone on Sona because it highly delays her worth as a poke damage early on. I've done it countless times, shoving the enemy laners out of the lane repeatedly and ensuring safe farm for my ADC.

I do agree however that Sightstone is necessary, which is why i now play Sona in Midlane instead. To be honest, I've played her the 'mage' way so much i can't even see her as a supporting champion anymore. I just refer to her as a Utility/Sustain AP Carry.

I just build the new Ward/gold income items on my supports that way you don't lose an item slot to just the sightstone...given you don't get the ghosts from thus version of frost Queens claim, but it's 4 wards every time you visit the shop. I dunno...

This isn't a Sona thing. It's people who play support and ignore key facets of what the Support role is.
