Other champions with traps in their kits (Shaco, Teemo, Jhin, Caitly, etc) are allowed to keep their traps much longer. So I'm just wondering, why do Jinx's traps disappear so quickly? And yes, I'm aware that if Riot made them last longer, this would be a buff to Jinx, but maybe they could reduce power in other parts of her kit (like the scaling on her 'w' for instance).
Kaioko7 votesThey aren't traps per say - they're a zone control tool. It functions similarly to viktor for example when he lays down his stun zone.

I dunno man. It sure looks like a trap to me. And the other 'traps' in this game are also zone control tools. If Teemo places a shroom in the bush near Baron, the enemy can't walk through that brush to contest it without taking damage.

Jinx gets to lay down 3 traps with one cast. That's a significant amount of power.
Skelenth3 votesBecause they are supposed to be an in-combat tool, unlike a map-control tool like Teemos or Nidalees. Also it doesn't fit Jinx' fast paced gameplay and character to plan something beforehand
