Teambuilder matchmaking giving stronger players.

Can anyone tell me why Teambuilder is matching me with and against Silvers and Golds. Hell there was even one game where there was a Platinum. I can't get past Bronze 3 to save my life, yet TB matches me with all these higher level players.

Don't get me wrong though. I actually like playing with them more than all Bronze teams where its always a feed fest. One side usually facerapes the other in Bronze games but Silver and up, games become unpredictable and quite fun. I'm just curious as to why Teambuilder does this.

It is probably because they are playing new champs/roles, so matchmaking accounts for that by pairing you with lower players. Also, Teambuider has its own MMR i believe, so if they are losing a lot more games than they have won, it goes by that, nto by your rank.

Wait, I though they disabled that specific where it matches by the champ/role. When was this enabled ?

No, there was a time where it was disabled. There was an icon indicating so and when you hovered the mouse over it, it said that role specific matchmaking was disabled(or something to that effect). It was so for quite a long time, I guess I forgot about it. Haven't checked to see if its still there. I'll check it next time I get on.

It says it is disabled if you have played the champ or role multiple times.

When u play TB you are matched with different elo depending on how much experience you have in the lane in TB.

If you have never played top lane in TB, the first games will match you with lower elo to make sure you don't end up vs a lane that is unfair. Same goes for champs. First times in TB as a champ will match u with lower elo.

So these golds and silvers are just playing their champs for the first times in TB.
