Why do mages/PoM users need 9% attack speed?

I dont get why taking Precision-tree secondary with Sorcery-tree primary, gives 9% attack speed. You are taking away 10 AP from every user of Presence of MInd. (Used to give 20 AP/12 AD)

I think these stats (9% AS + 6AD/10AP) are fine if you take precision as primary and sorcery secondary, but not the other way around.

Maybe just move presence of mind to another tree? It doesnt even fit the theme of "precision".

I 100% agree. To be honest, I'd rather have presence of mind in sorcery, and then put a new rune in the precision tree. Maybe a rune that give you lifesteal when you get low or something, so there will be one that gives you a shield when full health, one that gives you health back after a kill, and one that gives you sustain when you are low. That would fit with the theme I think, and a lot of bruisers like Olaf and Shyvana could possibly use it well.

Tbh most mages need the attack speed to conserve mana in farming if you want a true dominant lane. Lux and Karma for example only have really good lane phases if they auto attack minions.
