Yellow Trinket Update

So according to the PBE the trinkets are all getting a little upgrade. One of the upgrades for yellow trinket says:

"Greater Stealth Totem Cooldown reduced to 60 seconds from 90. Cost reduced to 250g from 475g."

Basically this makes upgrading the trinket significantly cheaper, and allows you to use this item to have 3 wards out at a time as long as you wait for the CD.

I'm wondering if you guys think this might replace the current standard, which practically requires all supports to buy a sightstone (I kinda hope it does). How do you think the trinket update will effect game play? Thoughts?

Simply put, no. Your team still needs red trinkets, and if someone can't place wards, they become a hidrance in the vision game. That's why it's still the best option to have a sightstone + red for supports. On the other hand those pesky splitpushers will have a "sightstone-ish" trinket to defend themselves, so it's a reasonably large buff to splitpushing.

I don't think it would been able to replace the sightstone. Mostly because it won't be available till level 9. If the trinkets would start to work with stacks it might have a chance to replace it but besides that it's hard to tell.

Maybe something like this bound the the gold income support item:

Unique Passive: Trinkets cooldown has been reduced with 50% & will now hold up to 3 stacks

This will also include for other jungle items like jungle but a little bit less strong:

Unique Passive: Trinkets cooldown has been reduced with 30% & will now hold up to 2 stacks

This would give the support a lot less access to ward early game that with the changes to the jungle won't be that bad. However this time he doesn't have to spend 800 gold on that sightstone. He's also limited to the fact it's trinket depended and will have to decided between having a item 3341 or securing the area with item 3340 . With that change he will probaly buy some item 2044 item 2043 to compensate for it.
