I've tried several times since the servers went back up and it keeps giving me the same problem. The message says my position in queue is over 20000 and that the wait is approximately over 30 minutes. I wait for the timer to countdown and it gets to position 1 with 1 seconds left and then stops and nothing happens. Is anyone else having the same issue?
mine counts down to 1 then jumps back t anywhere from 3-12 seconds then counts down then repeats over and over and over.....

As SOON as you hit position 1 in the queue, cancel queue, then try logging in again immediately.
Yep everyone's having the issue despite the fact Riot just re-posted their update claiming its fixed and that they're slowly letting people back in.
Waited for two 30mins sessions and now its jumping from 1s back to 12- 20s nonstop...
Yup I've been trying to log in for the past 5 hours. I waited in one que for over 45 minutes and then figured the game glitched and then waited for another 30 minutes and then repeated this process for over 3 hours. At least I like the book I'm reading.

What rito is really saying to us is they think we are #1. They value us as part of the community and won't let you in game until you understand that.
Look in the mirror and chant "rito thinks I'm special" 6 times and then login and you will get in right away.
so much fun... friend is in same room and got on instantly ..... i am on round 5-6 wait time , each time wait time=1 and nothing .... so aweesome ... now he is is game ....

I think someone at Riot is gleefully watching how many people finally hit cancel, try again, and end up back at 20000 in queue.
same here just keeps getting me to 1 second than the countdown restarts. and ive waited 40 mins at 1 sec; also restarted twice with 24mins wait both times as well...
I have been sitting in position 1 and 1 seconds remaining for about 20 minutes now. One time it repositioned me to above 20,000 and had be sit around for 30 minutes before bringing me back to this position. I need to go to the bathroom but I am afraid of the afk requeue that will happen if I do.
I had hope when I saw that 1 second but then I saw this and I lost hope
Hey guys, so I've been waiting for over an hour now just like you all have. Guess what? I'm in. All you need to do is close the client, open it again, it will say the server is busy, but you just need to enter the password again, then you'll be in. Good luck!
Its been about 3 hrs still no sign of a way in, we must find a way in otherwise we will be forced to play

I've been waiting at the same position for over 5 hours now... my friend who went on League launcher waited 40 minutes and got on while I was stuck at 1.

Well good news. I was able to log into the forums. I'm also stuck at position 1 with random resetting of my Approx. wait time.
At least 10-20k people are having the same problem.
I have been waiting for over 30 minutes to login, I get down to 1 second and then it restarts back to 12 seconds and it just keeps going on and on and on. Riot fix this problem. I am about to uninstall this game

Riot's networking problems are ridiculous. They release a new champ every other day but can't hire more staff for this kind of crap. Speak with your wallets and don't buy anything for the month of January.
