why isnt caits rifle bolt action in game.
considering shes supposed to be leagues sniper she sure as hell dosent feel like one when nearly every build has her machine gunning down entire teams

Super old champion who was designed before mechanics like that were feasible but has aged well enough to not justify getting a full rework
It would be much better if caitlyn was like jhin or senna. In my opinion jhin is the most fair and interesting ADC in the game and more should be like him, next to ezreal perhaps.

I agree, Caitlyn just seems like one of this soldier from Age of Empires III. She really needs a rework to be a more unique sniper, her currently gameplay concept feels so outdated.
Bolt action is not the only mechanism used on sniper rifles.
Yeah she is always high pickrate because the design, and the frustration playing against her comes entirely from the fast attack speed which also removes her theme of playing around traps Eing and shooting becomes less important etc.
If she ever gets a rework I hope they make her traps more interesting. Dropping them at someones feet randomly is really boring imo. If they were used for more tactical/zone control plays they would be much cooler.
Jhin and Senna feels more like a sniper than cait. And since they're released it's quite unlikely for her to become a true sniper.
She was made in a time before riot experimented with different auto attack patterns. Limitations of when she was made.

attack speed is one of the weirdest stats in the game but even weirder when you try to apply logic to it

God that would make her so much more interesting to play as and against. If she's going to be this insanely oppressive in lane the least they can do is give her a unique mechanic like that
i saw a pretty cool rework idea for her forever ago around the time adc's got reworked as a class, where her auto attacks would line up like senna's, but the caitlyn player could choose when to release the shot. Holding the aim for at least some sort of amount of seconds (I dont remember) would result in a roided version of her current headshot. She would also have to reload like graves, which also got reduced by attack speed.
