It Should Be Easier To Drop From The Bottom Of Tiers
Sure people "work hard" to achieve ranks, however it needs to be much easier to drop out of Tiers than it is.
Nothing kills moral and motivation more than when you're working hard trying to climb to the next rank, just to see that you're losing games because of people who are already in that next rank. Those who are 0 LP and have terrible win rates and clearly shouldn't be there.
What's the point of even trying?
Ranks are meant to be something that are fluid and change as a player's skill and ability adapt to changes in the game. No player "is" a rank. Obtaining a rank doesn't mean a player should get to default and stay that rank even if their play is not up to their level of play. If someone can't maintain the level of play of a Diamond V player, and they are D5, they should lose their right to stay there. The same goes for every single Tier in the game.
When I see a Gold V player with a 20% win rate and a ton of games played, I feel enraged. These people are losing consistently to Silver players and still not getting bumped out of Gold and that's pretty ridiculous. I know MMR is what matters, and not so much the Rank, but it makes that Silver I with a 60% win rate who has failed promos 3 times feel like complete garbage knowing that he or she is a vastly superior player than that Gold V who can't even win against lower tier players.
