My friends just trying to get to gold and has to play against a 3 season diamond viktor top lane who clearly has tanked his account or let it decay badly.
Even if he was just a Gold 2 (His current rank) my friend shouldnt have to play him to get into silver 1

Skill is relative. Everyone on the ladder gets better along with you. The average skill constantly rises. Bronze players in season 25 would be playing with the same skill as Challenger players today.
