This thread brought to you by Aphelios Kit reveal.

In the past. WTF RITO! Give us a Invoker level champion for league. What is this Bullshit simplicity in your designs!

In the Present (and foreseeable future) . WTF RITO! Give us a simple champ. WTF is this bullshit complexity!

Cant please everybody I suppose. Gonna enjoy the Rage and terrible logic used in Gameplay New for a while. [slayer-pantheon-popcorn]

I think its more like:

In the past - Why do we allow CertainlyT to design champions?

In the present - Why do we allow CertainlyT to design champions?

The issue I take with it is their complete 180 on certain things they've said regarding balance. For example during the assassin reworks when they said assassins should have good burst possibly slightly delayed, mobility and escapes, but that giving them significant CC is problematic and can lead to no counterplay combos, Then they released quiyana w/ a low CD root that can be made auto-targeted, and an aoe CC ultimate that rivals Amumu's in terms of impact in a fight.

As far as being consistent w/ the assassin rework, Quiyana low CD mobility is ok, heck even low cd invis w/ brush Q is ok, But river Q (ESPECIALLY W/ the EQ autotargeting feature) and her ult just put her way over the top in terms of what an assassin should have in their kit.

Imo that is the best example I can give about riot's 180 on their design philosophy and seemingly not factoring in power budget into newer kits.

I mean. My problem comes from him having 1 Damage ability.

Last time we saw that was Zoe and that bitch could do 90% of the health of a 250MR tank with 4500hp with a single Q on release.

Im just scared of how mega overtuned he is going to be because "He has 1 basic ability, it needs to be strong"

I think people would like a mix of both simple and complex champions, rather than only one or the other. Give beginners something to look forward to and pros to abuse complex kits. I can't learn the ins and outs of every three difficulty champion if they're pumping them out all the time. Especially when something like Qiyanna's champion spotlight barely touched on the intricacies of her elements and didn't show gameplay. You need to read up on wiki or watch another video for that. Tho considering I always keep reading Darius' wiki, its not a huge deal.
