If your name implies you play Garen, Vayne is just a hard Counter to you. Nothing you can do

That's not really the point he was making. The tips that are listed there are horribly generic, and focused on bot lane. They do not help when facing a Top lane Vayne, or even the rare Jungle Vayne. The tips may have been intended to help, but they are pretty darn useless.

I mean really, are the people who would find very basic tips like these going to understand what a poke comp consists of?

its not about top lane vayne.

those tips dont help you dealing with vayne when youre playing in any other position than bot lane.

theyre only telling you how to deal with vayne in lane, which isnt helpful when youre not playing on bot, which 60% of the peope on your team dont.

seriously? ill wait for him and watch him walk into 3 shrooms on the way, back off and recall.

item 3364 isnt available until lvl 9 by which time the lane and the river are littered with shrooms. it doesnt deactivate them anymore, and just because you can see them for a couple seconds doesnt mean you can contest them while teemo is nearby. plus the item is on such along fuckign cooldown compared to his shrooms, that he throws down 5 of those things before you remove one or two of them with the active.

item 3111 is as generic of a tip as it gets.

how about mentioning item 3194 instead? or item 3009 to deal with the slow?

how about mentioning fucking summoner 14 to deactivate his w from a distance and keep vision?

my whole point is, that there are some ways of dealing with those champions, but those tips are actually garbage and apply to 90% of your matchups.

some of them arent even helpful. because sweeping lens doesnt do shit against shrooms anymore.

I mean honestly, it's a huge meme that the tutorial still suggests Thornmail on Ashe. If Riot really wants to provide helpful information they have much better places to put it, and can do it in a much more informative way than simple tips.

If they really want to help people learn matchups they should work on cleaning their boards up and informing their players that it is actually a helpful place to seek information. We have a number of mains around here who are helpful, but very few people ask for help, and the ones who do get more spammy replies than helpful ones.

Well, most vayne mains are bot vayne mains. I expect vayne jg mains and vayne top mains would give advice that is probably not super relevant to bot laners in a similar vein.
