They tried remove the isolation island (top lane) effect. What are your thoughts about it?

Riot tried to use herald to help top lane get some attention.

The problems with that:

Dragons spawns at 6. Any experienced jungler will say that is a waste to gank top lane after the dragon spawn, because of two factors 1- Bot lane has a possible double kill, 2- Dragon buff is for the whole team. The problem is that herald spawns at 4 min. Creeps spawns at 1:40, you'll farm 3 camps. Meaning you have a 1 minute window to gank top lane and after an early game gank you will both have no health to clear the Herald. Meaning mid and bot are better options. Mid for lane pressure and roaming and bot for the possible double kill, making it easy to get the dragon later. The buff isn't worth opening the dragon for the other team. Scutler will give 250 (one potion for everyone... yay) team gold, 10% damage , 40ms ( that means too little for top lane) , recall and minions buff. Sure it can be useful for the top laner for split pushing but it falls flat if the other toplaner has wave clear. Add up to that it will push your lane hard. Meaning that the buff brakes the play pattern of farming top laners or the possibility to zone them out, meaning even less if the jungler gets the buff.

A possible double kill and 6% damage (permanent) for the whole team is a way better deal.

In every game I played herald was ignored. Deals too much damage, the buff isn't worth enough. What about you guys, any thoughts about the herald?

Getting a timed solo buff isn't exactly worth the risk associated with it. Add onto that, the buffed minions aren't strong enough to push effectively and can get easily countered by any laner with waveclear. Dragon's first buff is still worth around 1.5k gold, that scales the longer the game goes on.

It's too hard to take early game but it is replaced by baron late game. You have to juggle damage very carefully or it WILL kill you. there's nothing wrong with an asymmetric map. whatever happened to clarity?
