Why give thornmail general grievous wounds instead of specific anti-lifesteal?

Juggernauts might be getting nerfed BIG TIME if this thornmail change goes through.

Darius stacks tanks with autos and uses Q while doing so to sustain through Yorick His Q Illaoi uses W (auto attack) to get tentacles to hit people and heal her DrMundo His E is arguably his biggest damage component of his kit, and it's PURE auto oriented. Nasus Q Q Q Q Q Q Q Q Q Q Q Q Q Q Q Q Udyr turtle stance requires autoing stuff Volibear Kind of irrelevant because he sucks, but when is this guy not autoing once in range? His rolling thunder is an auto modifier, and his W and R encourage him to smack shit, so he'll be guaranteed to grievous wounds himself during his passive when hitting tanks. Olaf I mean, maybe he doesnt care since he presses R and sprints at the backline, but otherwise he can really only fight tanks, and he's also almost purely auto oriented with great sustain.

etc.

With grievous wounds now being accessible on tanks and being stupid easy to apply, juggernauts, who achieve tank levels of durability through sustain may actually get hardcore fucked. It's bad enough item 3033 exists along with item 3123 for less than 1k gold, now we got this on our hands.

Why couldn't thornmail give a specific anti lifesteal debuff instead of grievous wounds? At least then it's only Nasus who gets fucked but that doesnt matter since nasus shouldnt teamfight anyways (and Olaf gets affected too, but there could be a way to get him to maneuver around this in a patch).

Mark my words fellow juggy mains, I'm betting you five bucks we'll feel this change harshly if it goes through. I guess Garen wont care because his dumbass passive that goes against his kit wont be affected by this.

EDIT

Lol look at all the anti-juggernaut trolls downvoting, the truth won't change.

I think the Bramble Vest needs GW removed and the attack speed slow on Thornmail removed. Then it would be much more balanced.

The GW only lasts one second, and you can target someone that isn't building the item or delay your sustain abilities until the 1 second wears off.

Right, just do nothing after autoing a tank... walk around, smell the air, get killed, it won't matter!

Darius would have to wait .25 seconds (what a shame, considering decimate is something you want to always utilize when up) minimum Illaoi wouldn't be able to W for at least half a second following your advice, which is HORRENDOUS especially if she's in her ultimate

Listen buddy, no, thormail should not apply GW, not even for a second.

Also, juggernauts dont always have the luxury of simply "picking another target besides the frontline"

I hear stalling while waiting for abilities to come up/areas to become safe/debuffs to fall off is a pretty common tactic, so... Yeah. If you wanna smell the air, go for it.

I can see where you're coming from, but that's because GW is bad design in general and was made to counter sustain coming from places it shouldn't be coming from
