Sejuani = Amumu

MissFortune = Lucian

weak vs strong

the similarities in each of their kits is uncanny. The only difference being the numbers or quality of life of the skills.

even after the rerelease of Sejuani she is still basically the same champion as Amumu, granted it's better further from him. The old sejuani even had the same scaling and CDs on her skills.

O no almost every CC tank has AOE damage, must change them all. um no. Naut is like sej and ammu also if you are going to use vague similarity concepts.

And MF and Lucian are nothing alike. How can you compare them? MF's Ult is an AOE that she can not move during, Lucian's Ult is completely mobile and each shot can hit only one person. Do they both shot more than once during the ult? Sure, but Lucian also has AS scaling while MF does not.

The rest of their kits are different also. MF bouncing shot, wounds, AS boost. Lucian has mobility, double shots and more mobility. Mf builds a more traditional ADC build and Lucian is more worried about high cdr for E mobility. Can they both build some of the same items? Of course. After all almost every ADC builds IE. Some items are just good on different champs for different reasons. BC for an example, both could build it. Mf wants it for her ult though to do a massive AOE shred. For Lucian the shred would be nice but its really about that extra CDR that is so rare on AD items.

I am not even sure how the OP came the idea for this thread. This is literally bronze logic in the OP.

I'm not going to go into the exacts because they aren't the same exact champion, but their kits do have tons of similarities, the main difference is that one is a modern take on the kit while the other is old school. Lucian focuses more on mobility and MF focuses more on positioning prior to the fight starting.

Also no one ever said anything about people being OP, you brought that up.

OP is original post.

Their kits have almost no similarities. Its like saying every adc is the same. I showed how they weren't. I talked about their ults and the rest of their kits.

if lucain and mf are the similar then the sun and the moon are also.

Reread the post, i never said either lucian or sejuani were OP...

Secondly, Q a target to poke behind them, bonus movement speed, channeled aimed ults, auto attack enhancer. Again they aren't exactly the same, but they use a lot of the same mechanics, except lucians has much better quality of life aspects to it. It's almost impossible to correctly control the MF Q, she is stationary with her ult, and loses her movement speed while in combat, and also lacks escape and trades it for a non-AD scaling slow.

OP is original post.

OP = original post.

Is = means.....

acronyms can have more than one meaning. Try to understand that. Replace every "OP" with original post. things make more sense.

deadlychuck1 votes

Sure, but bring those acronyms to a forums which primary uses "OP" to mean over powered. You need to also be wary of where you are using acronyms.

Angry Monster1 votes

actually OP is used a lot in both cases. You have to read and see what makes sense.

Wait caitlyn has a channeled ult and a q poke does that make her the same? So does ezeral..... OMG the conspiracy. ALL ADCs ARE THE SAME!!!!!!!!! Most adcs have a form of range harass outside out autos.

The way the mf and lucian range poke works are completely different.

Most ults need to be aimed. Lucian can actually move will using his ult to re-position. MF can do not do this. You are seeing something that is not their

MF and Lucian Pokes are the only two ADC pokes which use a closer enemy to target the one behind, so they are very similar in that regard.

Cait ult is channeled, but if i recall correctly, doesn't actually go on CD or consume mana until after the shot is fired, meaning interrupting it doesn't actually stop it, it only delays it. Let's also exclude how MF and Lucian's ults are both bullet based, as in each does damage in small intervals while being cast, just like Ashe Corki Draven Ezreal Graves Jinx KogMaw Sivir Tristana Twitch Varus Vayne ... oh wait they are the only ones.

Although they do have the most similarities when compared to each other than any other ADC pairs, Lucian's abilities effectively do the same thing, excluding the Grievous Wounds, although they are more combat oriented and are much better quality of life.

Angry Monster1 votes

Caits only resets if she loses the target or the target has been killed. Is she gets silenced or stunned ect... she goes on CD. Though i am not sure about mana cost, i never paid attention to that part.

So about the poke. Yeah sure they target one champ and the similarities end. Lucians is an AOE straight line shot. While MF hits one other target that is manipulated by range, target type, and impure shots marks.

Ez is a channel. It has a really long cast time and is stoppable.

Then corki and kog have same ullts by your logic. They both use the ammo system. Vayne and Lucian tumble system are the same also, cause they get bonus damage out of it. Varus and Ashe are the same they have ULTS that lock down people.

You can make several champs look the same. Hell graves was called mf 2.0 when he was first released. The fact of the matter is that MF and Lucian bring different things to the game. No one will ever say that mf is a mobile champ. And no one will ever say that Lucian does AOE damage.

You keep locking on to these small things and not seeing the bigger picture. A lot of champs have 1 or 2 things similar. That does not even come close to making them the same.

It is quite sad. Imo, many, MANY older champions are well overdue for a rework. (Granted, not total overhauls. Just bits and pieces that can actually give their kits individuality).

They are similar, but they do have some pretty glaring differences.

Sejuani can engage without endangering herself and has more sustained control over a teamfight, while Amumu dives in, Ults, and switches to sustained damage with some chase potential.

MissFortune is focused on map movements and massive AoE damage, while Lucian has his strength in his mobility and resulting ability to easily chase/kite/switch targets.

They accomplish their jobs through similar mechanics, and in the future they could probably take some changes, but it's really not that bad right now.

Serpents Embrace1 votes

I'd akin Lucian more to Graves than Miss Fortune.

And Sejuani never had the same scalings as Amumu before her small rework. His were higher.

deadlychuck1 votes

Obviously you never looked at the scalings... Sejuani and Amumu had the same scaling on Q, E, and R. The CD on their ults were the same. The only difference between them was that amumu's w did % damage and scaled as such, and sejuani's did flat.

Even the costs were almost the same, i think the only difference was that amumu E was cheaper due to a shorter CD

Serpents Embrace1 votes

When she was released one of the main criticisms was that her scalings were lower than Amumu. You're saying she had the same scalings on W? His scales in to a percentage and hers doesn't. You're claiming that her flat damage scaling was the same as his percentile? :/

deadlychuck1 votes

scaling on Q, E, and R. The CD on their ults were the same. The only difference between them was that amumu's w did % damage and scaled as such, and sejuani's did flat.

No it doesn't scale the same and i never claimed it did. She did have weaker scaling, but only on the w. Even their base stats were almost the same. Hell really thinking about it i believe the only difference in numbers were the amount of base mana vs max mana per level, the scaling on W, and the CD on E.
