Shyvana's Q Nerfs Hurt Her Non-Devourer Builds Pretty Hard

By nerfing the q damage in the early and mid game Riot is hurting Shyvana top, who was already struggling in that lane as well as hurting alternative jungle builds. You will almost certainly have to build devourer now as you won't be dealing enough damage with a cinderhulk build to be as competitive as other tanks (as well as not having utility) and you won't utilize enough early damage with warrior to be as influential with ganks.

Even with this bottleneck, you are going to have slower clears with more stacks to build, which is going to push her from her current overpowered state to simply not worth picking anymore. Champions with natural life steal and better utility like Warwick, higher damage like Yi and Xin, or Udyr with tankiness and utility will do what she can do but better in Devourer builds. The only thing Shyvana has going for her here is that she can't be counterjungled early and that she can do quick clears without mana issues.

I hope that Riot considers this before locking these changes into the next patch. I feel like the community (as well as myself) can agree that Devourer and Shyvana's clear speed should be nerfed but the level to the nerf just seems high in my opinion. I think most Shyvana players would agree that we would rather you just nerf or completely remove Devourer before hitting the champion herself as history has shown she has a good change of getting Sejuani'ed once the inevitable Devourer nerfs do come.

These changes will stifle diversity within her builds and lock her into an unfavorable position of being a Devourer jungle at a time where the writing is on the wall that Devourer is getting nerfed with probably more on the way.
