Do people not understand that Rengar/Talon will insta-kill you while Rengar becomes as tanky as your tank by pressing W and then fighting for a few more seconds

and then Talon sometimes doesn't even need his ult to kill you but you're basically guaranteed to die and he'll do a lot of AoE damage with the ult.

At least with Zed he's not 100% entitled to a kill just because you got within his general area

this isn't even really a fixable problem either since they'd both suck if they went in and died instantly after killing one target, I just don't understand why people want to enable this terrible playstyle of making the game a 4v4/potential 4v5 just because they picked something that is entitled to kill you.

gee it's like he's overloaded then. does zed actually have bonus armor pen for no reason??? he already shits on tanks with his passive which deals %hp damage and can ignore tanks via 2 blinks he also is one of the very few champs who deal noticeable amounts of both damage while building for only one type (AD).

no but there's zero reason for him to not build a ton of armor pen lol

also his magic damage isn't really noticeable most of the time since he has one source of it and it isn't a constant proc. You're looking for something like Shyvana or Kog'Maw for noticeable magic damage while building AD.

Then really, what's stopping any ad from building "tons of armor pen"? Since any ad can shit on tanks, there's absolutely no reason his passive doesn't deal physical damage. neither shyv or kog have blinks, nor does mf, eve or poopy (who I was thinking of). Shyv's dash is an ult, that can be stopped by any displacement, so is weaker than zed's two blinks. They're also all in bad spots because of some horrid flaw in them, although riot is changing eve a lot recently. The magic damage is quite noticable. It deals about an extra attack's worth of damage.

Anyways, zed isn't a great example of a "healthy" assassin because it's harder to itemize against him, and he has no downside for that advantage. 2 blinks! 2 whole blinks! Both talon and rengar evaporate as much as s3 sona at level 1 if they try to dive in 1v5. Zed can blink twice if you don't chain cc properly and 1v5 with ease while surviving.

addressing bolded first to say that healthy assassin is an oxymoron and all assassins are cancer

Anyways, the reason why Zed does it specifically is just because he doesn't need crit or attack speed so he'll just buy armor pen in place of those stats. Although none of those champions have blinks, you have to remember that their magic damage is far higher than Zed unless he literally only hits targets that have the passive proccable, and that the likes of Shyv/Eve/Poppy are way tankier than Zed while the likes of MF/Kog'Maw do it from a far superior range.

But then you also remember that zed's physical damage is MUCH higher than their physical damage (unless you find a team that stands in mf's ult every fight) and 2 blinks > all their damage if they can't hit you.

Its not like Riot will ever balance him. Plus his problems arent in teamfighting, its that his laning is oppresive and insta-forces the lane to become a lane of ''Zed wins vs you dont lose, but dont win either'' and ''Rush Zhonia's and you may live if you are under the tower''. Because Zed doesnt lose CS, cant be ganked, cant be denied, doesnt go OoM and still can assasinate you after whitering you down with manaless long range poke, even under the tower for extremely low risk.

Doesnt help that Riot loves to nerf anti-mobility champions, and thus Zed counters, like Zilean and Kayle.

That's Zed problem.

That's Zed problem.

Zed is just really good at accumulating advantages, the nature of Death Mark means he falls off because of itemization.

Zilean isn't really anti-mobility as much as he is anti-nonmobility, same with Kayle, neither of them particularly had a way to deal with mobility aside from the fact that one of their damaging spells is point and click. Nothing they do will fuck over Zed harder than they'd fuck over a champion with zero mobility.

Furthermore, his poke isn't really that good at hitting people under tower/through minions so unless you're tanking isolated Qs under his turret, you shouldn't be beaten too hard by that.
