Are games snowballing now more than before? Or has the play-style meta changed a little?

So many games go like this -

Some lane gets an early advantage, tower in that lane falls. The winning laner quickly groups with other team-mates/jungler and kills towers in other lanes. So its 20 mins into the game and one team has no tier 1/2 towers. 6 tower deficit, complete loss of control. GG at 25 mins.

Are teams becoming more focused on taking towers early? Or is more snowballing in the game giving the same result?

Depends on champ. Some champs arent as snowbally, so even if they get one or two kills, it is not like they can lead their lead to victory.
