A better way...

If you listen to higher level players there is a ceiling to playing with the locked camera.

I think there is a way to fix that, but making the space bar do the opposite when you have the camera locked.

Right now, when the camera is unlocked, the space bar semi-locks it with you in the center.

What I would want is when you are playing with the camera locked, if you press the space bar-it should unlock the camera. Then I can look around, and just let space go to snap back to center.

I think it makes a lot of sense, especially for people who have learned to play with a locked camera.

You can change between locked and not locked by pressing z, and i think you can also assign this function to spacebar. Even though it wouldn't work the exact way you described it. Additionally you can click a certain part on the minimap. This part of the map will be shown to you until you stop clicking it. (During camera lock mode). But maybe you should just try to get used to the mode, where camera is not locked.

I actually find it very distracting. Having to constantly adjust the camera while farming and such. But, I also see the benefit when trying to make plays around the map. I would like to have the option, that's why I'm posting. I feel as this would be the best way for me to play, and it seems like an easy addition to the game.

There isn't a press toggle version (holding), but you can bind spacebar to unlock camera for a tap to toggle and untoggle. Unlocking the camera is most definitely an important thing to practice and get used to. If you want to practice camera movement, I also suggest getting used to using the F1, F2, etc. keys.

That's not a bad idea...I may try that out to see if it feels better.
