Thought I'd try to pick up Zoe. Wet 1/14. Help?

Had trouble landing anything on my enemy (Talon) because he was hiding behind minion waves, and if I'm reading the tooltip right, Paddle Star doesn't get bonus damage when you use the recast to alter it's direction? So when I did hit him it didn't seem to do much. And turtling behind minions just made landing bubbles on him difficult, but he can just shoot through minions so he could retaliate with a lot more ease-of-use than I could.

Any tips? Thanks.

No advice for a zoe player should be allowed

It's like a tahm player, if you can't figure it out the sadistic nature of your attempt is bad enough

taking a look at your games. First problem is you built a Lich Bane First.

That item is very niche, typically you build it when you need to push objectives or skirmish a lot even then you wouldnt first buy it.

First item for a majority of the matchups is typically item 3285 . after thats its either item 3089 or item 3165 .

Obviously there are special exceptions to the rule but the exception to the rule typically mean rushing item 3157 against a Zed or Fizz .

Runes i do not wanna get too much into because two type of players in that regard, either they like the build you went with or the one i go with.

I prefer mines because it gives me poke and helps me with wave clear during laning. Also people tend to babysit the enemy laner in Zoe lanes so counter ban junglers, not mid laners.

Going 1-14 on a new champ isn't uncommon. Learning a new champ in this game is downright painful. Main one and pray riot never touches it again?

1.) Your lvl 2/3 is very powerful, make use of it! Especially if you reach lvl 2 before your enemy and skill W, you can get easy first blood. Just walk up to your enemy (care for minion wave tho) and use ignite... The movement speed will make it hard for the enemy to escape. If you can land Q use it. Enemy now can flash away or fight back with ignite so basically you have 2 flashes and/or 2 ignites and he is still lvl 1, so you should win. Same with lvl 3 spike (bubble), it's just important to have minion advantage and exp advantage early on, but even without you can force fights.

But! some matchups you should play a bit more passive until you got some items.

2.) Roam a lot, especially botlane. Your bubble and W are perfect for this. Botlane can give you like 4 summoners and they are squishy.

3.) When playing Zoe, the enemy jungler can be free kills, depending on the champion. If they have squishy jungler like Twitch/Nidalee etc. and you see them in the jungle with 1 lvl below you, just use bubble and kill them. They don't expect it.

Other than that, just play her a few times and get a better feeling for her Q and distance. You will automatically play better with time.

A small tip: You can swap your summoner/item from w if you see a better summoner/item on the ground by right clicking on it. Another small tip: Playing her with Hexflash is funny, since it always procs your W because it technically is a summoner skill. It also helps roaming (going over walls) My last small tip: If you have a summoner spell like heal or flash and the time to use it comes to an end or you didn't go back for a long time, just go back to base. Buy items and use them on the way back to the lane. This way you are faster and don't miss minions.

so the easiest way to play zoe is to pick hexflash and max W second. also make sure to use your passive inbetween all spells. You need to target your Q to the side of the lane first and then R forward after releasing hexflash and hit him behind the minions then auto and E him and run back. If you hit the E go back with another auto or wait for q to come back off CD and proc passive again . Try to master this combo and you will be stomping on nabs in no time.
