I think Teemo Teemo and Taric Taric could use some love.

According to various leakers this is roughly the order as of right now. (the ones that predicted/leaked URF and Gnar among various other things)

ShacoPoppy Fiora VladimirGangplank Warwick Nunu Teemo

1, 2, 4, 6 and 7 are also getting Visual Updates with their reworks.

Would love for these to get reworked: Taric Mordekaiser Yorick Zilean Urgot Volibear Diana Quinn Akali Talon Kassadin Olaf Swain Malzahar Ryze

Would love for: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 get Visual Updates with their reworks.

Darius, Diana, Talon and Quinn don't need huge changes so they will probably be sprinkled in with other reworks.

I thought Urgot was the very next one to get fixed up. Still, good to hear that Shaco and Poppy are high priorities.

Meddler was working on Urgot but it was probably pushed back since he is the one working on Shaco . Maker of Varus Ziggs Lissandra

Solcrushed made Viktor rework is working on Poppy . He also made XinZhao rework way back when.

Fiora is being made by Guinsoo. He has created over half of the roster and one of the makers of DotA 1.

RiotGMang is making Gangplank . He was responsible for the consistency buff to his Ultimate in the latest patch.

Warwick is being made by DanielZKlein (he made Lucian Azir andXerath rework)

The other reworkers I know of are Scruffy, Stashu, Scarizard, SmashGizmo, Vesh and Fearless. Scruffy made Skarner Sion Stashu made Cassiopeia Scarizard made KarmaShyvana and Rengar SmashGizmo made Olaf Vesh made Soraka Fearless made Sona

Shaco and Urgot are both being reworked by the same guy, thus delaying Urgot because Shaco has been in a worse state for much longer. Gotcha.

I love seeing Riot making good, important decisions like that.

Plus, Urgot needs a Sion level makeover. It would take a lot of resources for him.

Warwick, Taric, Teemo, Malzahar, Morgana, Fiora, Fizz, Nidalee*, and a lot more

*Her rework's spears still chunk for a ton of damage, and are no risk/high reward/spammable. And then she can jump burst you as well.

The risk being they're absurdly easy to dodge and if you don't land one on a crucial target during or before a teamfight your team is fighting a 4v5

Not talking about during a team fight, talking before. And teams with Nidalees I see keep a defensive line and keep poking until something sticks.

gameplay wise definitely warwick

Taric definitly could use a kit update. His is just so out of date thatBraum does every single thing Taric does, but 10x better.

Only thing Taric really does is that point and click stun. But with its short range and slow projectile, its only good for peeling. That and Taric suffers from "Have to max everything first to be useful"

Q is just a waste of mana if you don't max it first. W's aura doesn't get really noticeable until rank 3-4. E has a terrible duration until maxed.

I would be happy if they pushed Taric towards the "Bodyguard / Aura support type" Since the iconic things in his current kit seem to focus on that role. It would fit him well.

What? Taric Is completely fine and as far as im concerned he doesn't need any type of rework. His abilities are just perfect for squishy adc's who have trouble with positioning or just being able to put out some good damage.

The only real champions that need rework are ones who have very low damage output and utility to be a threat. One of them I talked about in another discussion is Nautilus. Good AP ratios, just poor dps.

Marthian1 votes

But he has a ton of CC as it is.

BlackDeaths2 votes

Your correct and I do see it as being an imbalance for him to have good dps and a ton of CC. However atleast make it so he doesn't get shitted on in 1v1's by supports.

All it takes is item 3153 or item 3074 and Nautilus can't do enough damage to put them out.

Taric, he doesn't need much but maybe a new ultimate.

Kingsgrave1 votes

He mostly needs a purpose.

Is he a healer? A debuffer? A buffer/reactive? An aura-er? A frontliner? A rallier?

To me Taric should basically be a Bodyguard. Not so much likeBraum or Alistar where he can engage and disengage and protect, but in a fight with a Taric you aren't going to get past him at all. He will have an entire kit dedicated to keeping you away from his friends, not really at range or really have any ability to engage.

If you want a Healer that provides buffs to your team you take Nami Soraka Sona If you want a Tank that provides frontline you take things like Braum Thresh Leona Alistar If you want a debuffer/reactive support you take things like Karma Janna Lulu Blitzcrank Morgana

I was going to label supports as poke, but almost half of them have poke of some kind so that seemed irrelevant.

I think Taric needs to be made more fighter/aggressive healer. That's how I used to play him years ago when he had sexy AP ratios and you could really drop some pain with a stun and shatter. You could then whack them and sustain yourself decently with the double heal on yourself with CDR per AA hit.(Why did they remove this?)

Really everything I see about Tarics skills aren't there to be support, more so for beating up folks. I don't want him to become a "bruiser" per say, but a Hybrid perhaps?

Taric is a tank, plain and simple. Don't play Taric if you intend to play as a "support" throughout the entire game. He is not a carry baby-sitter, but a Tank who just happens to work best as a support for the early-game.

Taric is a tank relies on his damage-mitigation (heal and armor-aura) more than strict crowd-control or strong initiation. You start him in bot lane as the support, and switch over to tanking role for the rest of the game.

Don't try to build Taric like a typical support, he is not one. Taric needs a lot of health for his heal (part of his damage mitigation) and he needs plenty of armor for his damage (passive auto-attack and AoE damage from Shatter) and his Shatter-aura. These stats are also important for Taric's main role as a tank in the mid-game, so investing heavily in support items (other than the gold-generator) will hurt you in the long run.

Don't try to play Taric like a normal support, Taric is built to jump in the middle of the fray, not to hang back and try to stun/heal people. All of Taric's abilities are designed to damage his opponents directly and/or give his allies an advantage against said opponents: Taric's heal is designed to keep himself alive in the midst of combat. The heal always does more for Taric (who has more armor and magic resistance) than his allies, and its effect is mostly wasted if think of your job as the team's "healer" and avoid combat just to heal people--This said, Taric is still better off using his heal on allies whenever he can do so without letting off his opponents.

The other 3 abilities (Shatter, Dazzle, and Radiance) are designed to further assist Taric's team against their opponents--More stats from radiance, more physical damage against shattered targets, and a disabled target from dazzle.

Taric's cooldowns are lowered every time he auto-attacks after a cast--the auto-attack also inflicts a ton of damage. Basically, he is designed to stick to one or more opponents as much as humanly possible so that he can keep spamming heal, shatter, dazzle, and his ult along with auto-attacks after every cast.

Confirmed for kit reworks: Fiora Source Galio Source Yorick Source Darius and Gangplank Source

Confirmed for VU and kit reworks: Leblanc Source Warwick Source 1 and Source 2

Confirmed for complete relaunches: Urgot and possibly Poppy Source and Urgot VU source

I would personally love a rework of Taric, Zilean, Teemo, and Talon. They aren't really in good places right now, at least in my opinion, anyway.
