Who is in the wrong here

So I was playing Riven top against Irelia and I picked after Irelia. I filled because my calls were taken.

Laning phase started with her hitting 3 before I did when I had my wave pushed more (IDK how she managed that). Then she started to zone me from the farm with her crystaline and health and mana pot sustain. I had a feeling she might do this and brought long sword and 3 pots.

Our amumu decides he is going to gank the Annie losing to a Yasuo (idk how that works) instead of the 200 hp Irelia. I ask for help. What does he do? He pings comes in when she has back up to 700 hp again I am at 300 from farming trying to stay alive under tower. He throws his bandage so I go in, but he misses. I am now trapped with the 600ish hp Irelia who then kills me with a E Q autos. Amumu then dies to Irelia and their shen jungle giving Irelia 2 kills and double buffs.

Now I can't touch my farm at all unless I can stun her under the tower for at least 2 tower shots to win the trade. Amumu never comes top again. Irelia zones me from the farm to the point where she had 45 farm to my 17. Team then starts to call me out and yell at me. And Amumu ignores top lane. Irelia hits 7 but is low. I go in for the kill and my ult just wont go off to kill her, it wouldn't even start. I was like WTF. I die. Now she has 3 kills. From there on if I tried to farm I would take 300ish damage just to farm a creep.

So I get tower dove over and over again including Shen ulting Irelia and keeping her alive to stop me from having any chance of coming back. He did this at least 2 times in lane.

Team continues to blame me including telling everyone to report me. But I'm sorry how was I going to deal with that. 1 person against 2 people when one is fed due to an allies fuck up that cemented my loss in lane.

Once it becomes obvious that your lane is hopelessly lost and being camped, the onus is on your team to make the most out of all the focus the enemies are giving to shutting you down. Amumu was right to stop ganking your lane, but if he didn't compensate by snowballing the other lanes, then the opportunity was wasted.

If you've been feeding badly, you reach a point where killing you just isn't worth much gold anymore. At that point, any attention paid to you is wasted, especially if you're getting camped by the enemy jungler. Again, it's up to your team to take advantage of the situation. When your death earns the enemy less gold than a jungle camp, you do kinda have some freedom to play less carefully, and can still be an asset in teamfights because of this.

However, if your team doesn't use your misfortune to their advantage by snowballing their own lanes, the game is probably lost. Let's not beat around the bush... it seems like you either played badly or were severely outplayed, and that's not your jungler's fault, but choosing to flame you and blame you for the whole team's ills isn't any better.

Who's at fault? All of you, for failing to communicate and strategize in a civil manner, choosing to argue and snap at each other instead of trying to use the situation to the team's advantage.

How is it my fault if the jungler took forever to gank then virtually screwed me over by failing the engage. bandage toss isn't really that hard to land.

Did you take TP or Ignite? If you had TP then it's your fault for not recalling immediately before the gank and then TPing back into lane with an item advantage and full hp to blow her up. If you took ignite then it's your fault for not winning the lane prior to the gank.

It's not the jungler's duty to win your lane for you. If you were 300 hp and she was 700 then you were losing all on your own. If she bought a ton of sustain and you all inned her without killing her, well thats exactly what she wanted. To trade heavily and then sustain back up, especially since riven's natural sustain is very bad.

Not really if you are 300 hp and your opponent backs and buys 5 hp pots and started a crystaline what do you do (she had TP)? You will always lose trades. And just because you have TP doesnt mean an item advantage will do much when you have 17 farm and they have about the same amount. A rejuv bead doesn't help that much anymore.

I had ignite but it doesn't do enough against a crystaline 2 hp pot and mana pot start on Irelia. Too much sustain and not enough early damage.

With ignite on Riven vs crystalline start Irelia you just all in her at level 3 or 4. You made the mistake of not controlling your wave properly and lost your opportunity. That's your fault, not your junglers. Crystalline offers no combat stats and with ignite +longsword on riven you could easily secure a kill with proper wave management.

Out of curiosity what were you doing all game to end up doing less champion damage than your support. Half as much at that.

It's a sona support she does damage? Plus I was having to safe farm and hope I didn't die.

Technically it is your fault for losing lane. How I see solo lanes in general is that it is basically a 1v1 and don't expect junglers to provide anything, while expecting the other team to ALWAYS have jungle support(its how most of my games always go). Once it was clear you lost lane, it was correct for amumu to leave you alone. What he needed to do then was help bot/mid get ahead, which doesn't sound like he did. As reporting you for losing, it just sounds like the whining of little kids. Anyone can get beat early and in 1v1's, general understanding of how those things works is what makes/breaks you. I say just take it as a learning experience and ignore what your team said since all you did was play poorly.

1st problem - You waited almost 20 minutes to buy a defensive item in a losing lane. 2nd problem - 0/11/3, there's nothing a jungler can do about that. Either you intentional fed and afk'd or you simply let Irelia pound on you and ran unsuccessfully.
3rd problem - Coming here asking who's in the wrong. Learn from the battle, try and get better, focus on your performance and what you can do better. If you think about your team mates more than .5 seconds after Defeat or Victory you're putting your energy in the wrong place.

I was focusing on my performance. How do you farm when you can't touch it and they can out trade you even taking a tower shot because they have 5 hp pots and a crystaline. Amumu did nothing with the time he didn't help me and didn't even solve the other issues. Annie lost to Yasuo. Bot lane got steam rolled. Amumu missed so many bandages I have no doubt it was mostly his fault at times for baiting our team into fights that we should of won but he missed the easy engage. That is what happened to me and and it screwed me for the game. I would of been perfectly fine if other lanes had at least broke even instead of losing hard with the enemy jungle top all game against a losing lane.

I am not that bad. Its just when you have a teammate ping that they are ganking you assume they will land their skills when the enemy laner is overextended with no escape. Not blow everything and miss and walk up to them and AA like they can do damage as a caster tank jungle.

If you come here asking who's in the wrong, don't get defensive if we say it may have been you. As a jungler, Once you start losing lane, My attention goes to lanes that i can snowball. If you're losing on your own, as a Riven v Irelia, one or even two kills isnt going to get you back ahead. Irelia is a mid-lategame champ. Riven is early-mid. If you can't win when you're stronger, you're not worth the time. That doesn't mean your allies were right to flame. If they failed to capitalize on you being targetted, that's where they done goof'd. If I'm playing top, I love it when I'm in a 2v1, because I can tell my jungler "Go help mid, go help bot, I'll keep their jungle busy." ESPECIALLY if shen is burning his ult on an Irelia diving an underfed Riven. That's a huge opportunity that got missed. I can tell you're still a little salty though. Relax. You can't change your team's fuckups, only yours. So focus on what you can do differently, and don't waste your energy worrying about them.

Ok I understand I am acting defensive, but when a jungler comes into your lane and utterly fails to do anything in a gank and it sets you back for the rest of the game and your only advantage is now gone, it is extremely frustrating when they don't even attempt to help you while they farm golems and you are dying to a dive. Then you look at the other lanes and they are all losing hard even with Amumu not touching my lane. Then the team passes the blame onto the person with the most deaths which happened to be me because I couldn't trade and was behind because Irelia got 3 before me even though she missed at least 2 creeps of xp before getting to lane and my CS was higher than hers. The second she hit three she just inned on me and did 1/3 my hp and thats when everything went south.

Well technically everyones at fault. Its a team game and as such it is up to your team to support you when you fall behind in order to prevent snowballing.

Just curious but why take a long sword over a dorans blade? Also why take merc treads vs irelia? isnt she ad? i rarely go top so i dont have all that much knowledge of those match ups

The long sword is because irelia typically starts crytaline so doran's doesn't do much to help you unless you kill her pre-3. Merc treads because she started her stun then maxed it after a point in everything. Plus she does true damage so you can't really build anything against that early game.

I swear this Irelia had XP runes/masteries. She out leveled me while missing xp and got a 2 level lead from 1 kill.
