that runic echoes nerf

So... ap tanks should not be building ap it seems.

Ad bruiser though? Not a problem.

I just cannot see a reason to nerf the proc damage on it further, at this point, the item is already weaker than runeglaive which produced higher damage over time.

Nerfing echoes means ap champs have an even weaker item than when runeglaive was present, except fiddles who gets screwed either way.

Good to see nidalee get her auto reset removed, only for a base damage increase on pounce.

Where is Evelynn's compensation for the changes made to her? Or Warwick?

What about the bear?

Apparently AP mages shouldn't be either. Why does every other class have to ruin AP junglers?

I'm just irritated that Udyr (and Elise to extent) was such an abuse case for Runic Echo that he got it nerfed. Like, Udyr can use every jungle enchantment if he wants the second Runic Echo's becomes mediocre on him he can move back to Devourer or Warrior. Meanwhile, Runic Echo will be left in an underpowered state and AP junglers suffer yet again because Riot doesn't know how to make an AP jungle item.

I'm confused, what?

They're nerfing its damage because it gives lots of other utilities such as lots of MS and huge mana sustain in the jungle, devaluing blue buff. Also, the point of an AP tank is to do higher damage than building full tank but not be overbearing in damage. It already gives a relatively large AP value, 60, and also has a nice nuke attached to it. I think it's more targeting champions like Nidalee, Gragas, Ekko and even Fizz who can put out extremely large numbers with it. Not quite Nunu, amumu, Sejuani, etc.

Runeglaive also devalued blue buff, and this is acceptable because champions who are heavily reliant on blue buff to sustain themselves in the jungle tend to be weaker than those who do not.

I.E. Amumu.

He relies on blue buff to an extreme, and runic echoes/glaive was meant to aid him.

Also, the point of an AP tank is to do higher damage than building full tank but not be overbearing in damage. It already gives a relatively large AP value, 60, and also has a nice nuke attached to it.

Champons who are AP tank generally have low ap ratios such as amumu. They aren't overbearing in damage unless they build full AP, such as Amumu, and even then are outdamaged by true mage champs. A reduction of damage is a reduction of damage period, and because runic echoes has such a piss poor AP ratio that champions who build pure damage don't see a large benefit anyway.

I think it's more targeting champions like Nidalee, Gragas, Ekko and even Fizz who can put out extremely large numbers with it. Not quite Nunu, amumu, Sejuani, etc.

Which makes little sense because the AP ratio isnt large enough to make the nuke insanely strong, and tank champs generally don't dish out tons of damage without building it first. So...the nerf is frankly silly.

Champions shouldn't be reliant on a single jungle creep that spawns once every 4 minutes for a decent early game.

I say this because if you manage to steal say, Ammumu's blue buff, Ammumu is literally fudged for the next 4 minutes.
