i remember this used to be the best skill order. I still do it but notice nobody does it anymore, or at least op.gg says something like that

not sure exactly, but i believe its a combination of nerfs (i think?) to e damage and wanting to increase q damage (through levels) and reduce its cooldown and mana so you can all in more i guess. threshs only real poke is to hook them and have adc do something. When they are at half then you can all in safer. tbh idk. surprised me when i looked it up awhile ago. also q is better in teamfights

There's a lot of really squishy people running around. Land a hook, and your 3-4 carries delete people. E is most useful to disrupt dashes or shove people into your ult walls. You really don't need a lot of early points into E to do what you need to do.
