I understand that late Season 5 may have had too much vision, but preseason has way too little.

People started buying the blue trinket, despite it's fragility and visibility to the opposing team, because the yellow trinket is so astoundingly awful right now, in addition to the inability to buy sight wards.

Why do the same people who say they don't want to pigeon-hole supports into being ward bots remove the ability for any other lane to help with vision?

I'm not mad, just legitimately curious what the actual plan is for warding, or some context into why these changes are being made to heavily restrict warding throughout the game.

Vision highly depends on your elo as well, most games from high Plat+ I've watched on stream seem to have decent vision coverage compared to teams I'm on in Gold.

The update punished a lot of good players. Personally I ward better than 95% of all players according to Ward Score and I actually even ward more than 98% of all ADCs. It's difficult to ward with just your blue trinket and a pink.

Supports fulfill the role of almost the entire team's warding now and I would be okay with this as a person who frequently plays support but can Riot at least not nerf Sightstone while simultaneously making every role significantly reliant on supports spamming Sightstone at the same time.

It dumbed down the game so much in favor of poor players who never cared about vision. Playing a role like ADC with higher elo players is a nightmare, you can't go anywhere on the map without constant threat of being ganked without your team huddling you.

Dude I was playing a game yesterday and every single bush had one of those blue trinket wards. I thought I was going crazy! It's way out of hand in my opinion.

I don't disagree. However, if we actually had access to wards, we could actually see the blue things ;_;

Why weren't your opponents killing the blue trinket wards?

Because it was there wards? I cleared them as I found them of course but the number of them that I found was surprising.

There is NO such thing as "too much vision".

The day that everyone wards is the day we come to evolve as a species.

Don't agree with this. There should be limits on how much vision is available to a team, because if vision is unlimited, then there is no way for assassins, pick comps, and similar to function effectively. In fact, compared to how things were in ~season 2, I think there was dramatically too much vision, especially early to mid game, by late season 5.

That said, I think the current system is also flawed. I'd prefer an environment less dependent on Frost Queen's and Farsight for vision, and much better vision options by late game. FQC in particular needs a nerf- longer cooldown, weaker slow, something. I think an environment with few early warding options but significant late warding options would be ideal imo. Something like trinkets that scale better the higher level you are (thus at approximately current strength level 1, weaker from level 2 until ~12, and then getting significantly stronger than live until almost as strong as season 5 upgraded trinkets, possibly as strong).

I can't really complain about a lack of vision. I actually run out of Fog at times.

They can only check so many bushes for blue and most of those have a yellow anyway.

pre lvl 9 yeah, its hard to place reliable vision. But post lvl 9, there are blue trinkets every where lol

I think the other thread has the best solution: Delete sightstone, buff yellow trinket.

Now there's more vision, and it doesn't fall to the supports to deliver it. Everybody wins.
