so you miss trolly shit that is weak which is the main reason no one plays them when trying to win?

I have never understood this it doesnt change their playstyle or combos in anyway so why would u just use a flat out weaker version?

It DID change their playstyle, AP Shen doesn't outlast but he bursts instead, and AP GP doesn't poke and burst but sustains and puts a HUGE area of advantage for his team with his ult.
Back then it wasn't weaker than the main version, it's weaker now since they've been nerfed / removed with the reworks.

what? off meta stuff exsists like adc kennen where it actually changes the playstyle but going hey... you know zed... im gonna buy ap... it doesnt change him at all it just makes him weak as fuck

Your example is terrible. AP Zed brings nothing to the table. AP GP can heal like SHITTON instantly, his Q apply Lich Bane (and old Lich Bane has 1.0 AP scaling), ult scales with AP Old AP Shen Q hit pretty hard, W huge shield, ult MAD shield.

Alternate build =/= stupid build.

zed passive does ap damage. magic pen zed op. his auto attacks apply nashors. ap zed op. his spells let him use lichbane ap zed op

Yeah and all of those also work with old GP and old Shen on top of everything I listed.
