"We didn't want to nerf Lee because of the community back-lash"

Meanwhile DQ is giving Riot the biggest backlash in their history. I guess you could say they never really did LEE-SIN to their community regardless of the decisions being made.

To be completely honest, this seems like double ended blade for them, do they revert to solo queue, admit their mistakes (and more importantly as they ARE a business in the end, concede they wasted thousands, if not more on something that didn't work out in the end)

Or do they keep on chugging along with DQ and try to improve it, in what could end up being a fruitless venture to begin with.

The only way it would really work out for everyone in the end, is if DQ could somehow be made to work in EVERYONE's, best interest; but it can't.

Edit: thats something that really needs to be pointed out, "admitting their mistake" is literally akin to saying to whoever is in charge "welp, we wasted thousands of dollars on something; and it didn't work out"

It isn't thousands they wasted, the changes that Steam made which the community protested instantly costed millions of damage. Luckily gabe actually cares about the community he created. Riot will never actually admit their wrong though, at least I don't think it will happen.

Morde still needs his apology.

It very well may be at this point.

The difference here is that GN reverted the changes FAIRLY quickly, whereas Riot has spent quite a bit trying to improve DQ over the months, thats time, money and manpower that would all go to waste were said things reverted

Its not an unthinkable thing to do (as companies have done such things before in terms of undoing major organizational changes to please their employees or customers).

What it basically comes down to is: What is the most cost effective thing to do in the long run, which admittedly isn't an easy question to answer.

You all talk like DQ is the only way to play LOL. I highly, highly doubt the majority of the gamer population plays ranked. Pretty sure most people play normals.

I didn't mean to imply anything of the sort, just that it has been a point of controversy over the last few months, even among pro players.

Riots "fixing" was to re-implement solo queue for limited ranks. Riots continued fixing is to add feel-good badges which will further divide the community between "players who deserve their rank" and "boosted premades".

Dynamic queue wont be fixed until the limited solo queue becomes global for all ranks, and ranked teams - 5 man premades - have their own queue again.

Lee Sin already has the second lowest win rate for junglers (Nunu is the worst currently). There is absolutely no reason to nerf him. If anything he needs buffs. Get good please.
