So I reached gold with my weakest role as ADC (Jhin). Here are my thoughts.

①. You will climb very fast by learning how to counter Vayne. "Vayne mains" with less than 10 games will pick Vayne. "no matter what the consequences". I mean legit no matter what. Even if they are against a lane bully and their overall score has like 8 deaths per game with negative winrate. These people do not know how to play safe, or to farm under tower. I got a lot of win streaks just by not banning Vayne and letting em pick her. Sure she might get fed, but that is rare. Twitch is more high priority.

②. Ward the enemy jungle entrance yourself. Supports in this elo think they can evade a hecarim gank by warding the river bush. They do not take in consideration how "fast" a jungler will arrive to lane after they are detected (Nocturne wins game. Period.)

③. Dodge games. You are not press ganged by the army. If you sense a disturbance in the meta, that is as impactful as a planet blowing up. Go and check your teams stats. Dodge games. A commissar won't execute you for cowardice in this game. Thankfully.

④. Jhin is GOD. Even if you suck at ADC, if you have the basic mechanics of a midlaner you will just fit in. Praise the number 4.

This is good and all, but I like doing the Boards (tm) Classic

  1. Play against Vayne, feed.

  2. Go on boards and post: “Vayne is most OP BS champ”

Honestly, I always had this feeling when playing Vayne.

  1. Unless you are a god Vayne literallly holds you back quite a lot until lategame.
  2. When it becomes lategame, Vayne takes over you with her block of stat power, and it doesn't matter if "you" play her or not. "Vayne" becomes you. Not the other way around.

...Like a goddamn agent from the matrix. Or "In Soviet Russia, Vayne plays you!"

To be fair, Vayne is top tier right now with a very high win rate+pick rate

However it's true that you can increase your chance of winning higher than hers by picking a lane bully like jhin

Make sure that your support is a lane bully too, not Sona Soraka Janna

Come to think of it, developing a strategem for countering the most picked champion in that role was one of my core elements when playing ranked.

Wait, who can't handle Vayne?

Vaynes shouldn't look to get fed, she should look to scale as safely as possible. If your opposing Vayne gets fed early, you've got only yourself to blame.

Current vayne just need to get bf+static to actually have kill pressure, if the lane lets her get those two items safely she becomes pretty dang terrifying.

I kinda struggle with this on some like Ashe, i can't pressure her without exposing myself to her support, if mine can't keep me safe at that time i´ll have no choice but to not do it and let her farm.....since that's preferable to dying.

  1. Vayne is one of the highest winrate ADCs while Jhin is the lowest.
  2. If you were already a gold+ player you had tons of mechanical skills over everyone else.
  3. Vayne has a better late game than Jhin, you just need to know the match up as the vayne player.
  4. Yeah, twitch should always be a high ban priority.
  5. Learning to dodge games is a great tip though, I wish riot let us dodge more per day without penalty.

When it comes to warding, it is a tough decision for the support to walk all of the way to the enemy jungle and ward. It is like clockwork. THE MOMENT you leave to ward the ADC will fight 1v2 instead of playing on the back foot. Doesn't matter how many times you spam pings that you are walking up the river for a second. They seem more willing to fight 1v2 than 2v2.

Another problem is how dangerous it is to ward alone. If you have no information on the enemy jungler, you need your ADC to come with you for a second or you need your allied jungler to come with you.

In the end, this is still good advice. Since if the ADC walks up the river, the support SHOULD follow since there is nothing else for the support to do in that moment.

Yeah, as I played jungler a lot I noticed the advantages of slamming a ward in their entrance. So my tactic is to push with Jhin with dorans start and ward their entrance and leave with support to ward. The lane bounces back and I have my lotus traps up with their jungle warded.

It also gives a lot of info for my allied jungler was well. Good stuff
