LoL Isn't a free market

It is a command economy.

When something works out that doesn't belong in the economy system, it is instantly broken or considered illegal, regardless of the potential for counterplay and mixing up of strategies. Instead of allowing the players to evolve and adapt to the game, this command economy enforces certain goods and products to either become illegal or come at a high price, so that in fact, people won't even bother to purchase those goods.

This command economy won't provide the most for the people participating in it but it will provide what those enforcing the economy what they want and have intended it for.

Why isn't Lulu top meta? Because the top laners are unable to handle her in lane, she was impossible to deal with for TOP LANERS

Why not open up a free market, and let the entire community evolve the game- so that in fact, we don't participate in a forced meta- mmk? It would be fun to see the meta shift from the same meta 1-7 years to something that is constantly changing. Because let's be real the:

"Tank meta" "ADC meta" "Assassin meta"

Is pretty much how the game rotates now, there is no changing meta.

sooooo..... you want players to balance the game? I mean sure why not? It would only mean that we have too few champions left to do a SR match within a week since almost all champions are hated by someone and has a "please remove x champion". While I do agree free market and such is great, you are forgetting that lol is not a market at all for balance. You could argue about skins (in which case patent comes into play and your argument also falls to the ground) but balance needs to be done by specialists.

Now riot does not really enforce meta in that "you cannot play that there because we say so" but in the "playing against this here is opressive and cannot be balanced for this role and other roles at the same time".

TL;DR: Take your first year world economics class bullshit elsewhere. It is like listening to a first year psychology student thinking he knows everything about everyone.

can't tell if edgy post from someone who got an introduction to economy in class

or

OP has been researching economics for the last 30 years and has no other way of explaining stuff besides using examples from economy.
