Has anybody noticed that Thresh's hook latches on to you?

The hitbox of skillshots and champions are not exactly the size of their model (unlike you would see in a first person shooter). If they were, the hitboxes would either be extremely small for some things (like a yordle and a javelin) or the object would be awkwardly large or even misshapen. You might say "what's the problem with making the hitbox of the hook match the hook? Well, because it would make that skillshot significantly harder to hit than they intend it to be; they'd offset that by some other mechanic that would be even worse like it's fucking heat seeking or travels twice as fast.
But it took like top corner part of my champion, and swooshed to the side, and latched on. Like what the fuck? That should never happen.
Sometimes there's a discrepancy between where your champion appears to be on your client and where it really is server side (due to lag or whatnot), or the hitboxes are simply larger than you expect. I can't exactly determine what your particular issue was caused by, though.
If any 1 pixel of the hook's hitbox touches any 1 pixel of yours, it will count and then center the hook (instead of latching on in an offset position).
Thresh's hook has had one of the most broken hitboxes in the game for a very long time. Riot doesn't seem to be in any hurry to fix it, because of... well you know.
How was I downvoted for a valid point?
