"Wahhhh supports need more gold"

Do you realize this directly translates to

"I want to be able to do as much damage and tank as much damage as other roles, without going through the trouble of farming"

Do you realize how unfair and stupid this sounds

Pretty sure I haven't seen anyone say this at all within the last year at least.

. . . yes... and multi-billion dollar corporations file for tax breaks... what's your point?

In that case, why don't you take support runes, masteries and items on all of your other roles, if you like free gold that much?

Admittedly, the Coin line only gives you money for last-hits that you miss, Taragon's doesn't actually give you any more gold, and Spellthief is a little hard to use until fully upgraded (since you need to put in a 12-second gap between killing a minion and applying your three stacks.)

Still, the runes and masteries can be taken on anyone. You're giving up a lot of early-game power by taking gold generation runes, and giving up a lot of power for the entire game by taking 9/0/21 masteries, but it will mean you'll have even more gold late-game!

Is this a response to this thread?

I think Riot hit a good balance with gold income items and not forcing the support to ward the entire map by himself. Anyone remember playing support in season 2, you just bought Philo+Mobi boots+HoG and spent the rest of your money on oracles and wards. You were also insta gibbed by anyone who wasn't the enemy support.

Supports get most of their money from assists. If your adc can't provide those, you are f**ked.

_"When a champion is killed, the main killer gets a certain amount of gold, while 50% of that amount is divided up among everyone who got an assist on it. _

If a player has 2 more assists than kills they earn 30 additional gold for their next assist. If they have 3 more, it's 45, and 4 more assists than kills reaches the bonus cap of 60 extra gold. This bonus cannot be more than the original value of the kill. "

That's how it goes. The more you have assists (than kills), the more you get money.

In my opinion this is kinda bad for the losing side supports. It means that if you don't get any assists you will not get the necessary money income for your support items and you will be almost useless.

I think it would be better if some of the **extra gold from assists **were moved to support item gold generation to give more balanced income between the supports. The gold difference between a support with 20 assists and a support with 4 assists is huge. That is 1k extra gold in their pocket, on top of the original gold granted from the assists.

Im not sure how to take this...as a support, i like being able to use the extra gold to beef up a bit so im not just a walking target. Every team goes after the support as we are easy to kill and constantly chasing everyone else around trying to keep them alive. .....ill take the extra gold perk.
