So 
gains ad from killing unique targets fine, but if i kill him i want my trophy back, less bonetooth stacks for Rengar same rule applies, if Rengar dies within 1,5 seconds of you damaging him you take back your trophy and he loses the stack.
If he can gain a trophy off my corpse i can damn well grab it back after i kill the stinking cat, come on make it interactive Allow me to hunt Rengar back

Also, that's a lot of burden of knowledge. Very few people would know about this 'take back' mechanic because there's not a great way to communicate it in game without making Rengar seem like the focus of the entire game.
The Bonetooth is fine. The only change Rengar needs is to have the free crit removed. It's out of place and doesn't synergize with the rest of his kit. It promotes bursting down an enemy when the rest of his kit encourages you to take advantage of his in-fight utility.
