From what ive seen in videos, botlane doesnt get affected by this script. So, if the 0.00001% chance that a xerath is scripting occurs, immediately hide in botlane and you probably wont be affected.

Eedat6 votesIt actually depends. If Xerath is on Blue team, he wont hit top lane. If he's Red team, he wont hit bot lane

If you watch Ross's video Xerath gets a penta kill. also PSA : The spot itself is not a script, the script only finds the correct location. This is an in-game bug that happened in the past with Anivia's Q being able to hit everyone on the map.

DrCyanide1 votesOne of the hackers said that it's dependent on the side. Hackers on Red Side can't attack Bot Lane, Hackers on Blue Side can't attack Top Lane. It was unclear if that was a temporary bug with their hack or a limitation of the exploit.

Also it is a location but that has been seen on several champions, Anivia's being a wide spread one now this one. One of the hook brothers (I think it was Blitzcrank) that could hook from one location, and always hit another, though it's been awhile since I watched that one. They're bugs with the map that send champion spell data to certain/random spots on the map.
