I just remembered how ridiculous the relic shield build path is

So many threads on the support position lately we almost forgot the BS in plain sight.

The weakness of taking what used to be called a "kill lane" bot (but is now 2/3 of lanes) is that it couldn't sustain if the all-in failed. In a tanky meta (bonus points for being tanky) and a neverending CC meta (bonus points for having CC) you also get sustain? How is this a good recipe?

I can't remember what the original justification for Relic/Targon was but I know this item always had problems. The double Targon bot lane, remember? Rito is determined to have a tanky melee engage + sustain support option but balance wise this makes no sense.
