Is there any truly broad vision of this game that doesn't just consist of applying band-aids?

If you read the patch notes, each time the Reds write them like they're delivering gospel with a catchy PR twist. "We decided it was time to take a second look, and really tone this down." "And who doesn't like dealing damage, right?" (cue track laughter.) Actually "Reds" is a good name for it because at times Riot's PR reads like it was written by a communist propaganda office.

What I'm wondering after watching this game with skepticism for several years now is if Riot actually has any idea how this giant, sprawling thing should fit together. From what I see, it's just putting lipstick on a pig (as Sarah Palin would say), and you can see that unfortunately in user feedback as well, where people math and theorycraft to find the "perfect solution" to broken sh*ts like tank Ekko, when they should be smart enough to be able to take a step back and realize Hey, This Isn't My Problem. I just play the game; of course I can find 1001 problems with it. You don't fix suspension bridges with one drunk non-union guy holding a soldering iron.

You'd be surprised by some of the shit engineers do.

Yes. Make the game more mobile. Thats a pretty consistent trend.

At it's heart LoL (along with other MOBAs) are incredibly complicated works.

League wants to push it being an Esport with balance, the lore and the world, and improve the community experience for casual play.

To that end, Riot is doin pretty damn good on all fronts as they can on their end.
