it's passive can be used to help freeze / counter push; against hard shove (Sivir, Xayah) or range disadvantage (Cait, Ashe) if the support is on the same page, theoretically its good poke with range support, but that requires even more coordination.
As for its active, its highly underwhelming compared to Ashe's hawk-shot; Kalista's sentinel is so easy to circumvent it with wards/pathing, which in turn makes it free gold for their team.
Possible quality of life buff/mini-rework to her W active, some or all of bellow: Up the sentinel's movement speed to similar of spooky ghosts Let the cone give true sight Increase size/angle of vision cone Once the ghost detects a unit, retain true sight for 2 seconds after leaving the sentinels vision
