Was Janna shielding people for half their healthbar before the Forbidden Idol changes came along?

I seriously don't remember enchanters turning squishies into tanks before that and Windspeaker's Blessing existed.

That's not possible unless she's invested heavily in AP. Actually, I would argue the shield was even bigger back in the earlier days because of higher base number and AP ratio as well. Man... AP Janna was fun back in the day.

The problem was, that people below gold 1 werent playing janna, at all.

Janna has been a high elo DEATH PREVENTER for a longgggg time.

it just became extremely easy to use with the weakening of everything else that is support, the strengthening of adc's, and the discovery of ardent censer.

As someone with a lot of Janna games, I've never seen someone shielded for half of their health with a meta Janna build. This post seems to be an exaggeration.
