Seriously, it's like Riot created a champion so that even bad players can make ''plays''

Sure, his kit is not as straightforward or faceroll as Annie or Xin, but it's still an easy kit to learn. Only his W needs some time getting used to.

You can literally build him however you want, AP, tanky, AD, etc and he'll be just about as effective no matter what.

Mid, Top or Jung his strong early kit allow him to trade with almost anyone.

His ult is literally an undo button that allows you to undo any mistakes you may have done. Seriously. Almost dead? Press R. Enemy standing near your clone? Press R. Your fps dropped to 1 and you can't tell what the hell is going on? Press R. Your cat fell asleep on your keyboard? Press R. And everybody will be amazed by how awesome your play was and how you outplayed the enemy team.

If he is so easy, why dont you play him to get out of silver 5 before you get demoted back to bronze?

It's not about him being OP, it's about him being easy and forgiving. Ekko is the best champ for making up for bad plays. It's also really hard to punish an Ekko for this reason. In a game where positionning means everything, Ekko can just press R to undo his mistake, while most other champions would get caught and killed, he can just deny gold to his enemy with a button press. He's also one of the champions with the most flexible build path, which means you can't really screw up with him.

Saw one tonight in one of my games with my 5 man. We ended up winning but I don't remember how my mid lane did.

I've been picking him up in the mid lane. I hated him on release, but I'm liking him now.

what are you talking about?

his W is one of the hardest abilities to land

and while his ult is a nice escape, it's pretty difficult to use offensively.

This sentence is literally the reason why we hate players who specialises on mobile champions like Zed Talon Ekko Katarina LeeSin instead of Cassiopeia Karthus Malzahar .
