Why many late game champions have strong early games?

I don't understand that. Many champions which are strong late game and are supposed to be weak early to compensate, actually have either decent or strong early.

For example, Azir. For a champion that is really strong late game, his early game is equally strong. His soldiers deal a good amount of your damage, if Azir uses a soldier then Q and auto you twice, with Thunderlords, one third of your health is gone already. He can poke many melee and short ranged champions this way.

There is also Vayne. Her early game is only decent at bot lane if the enemy laner doesn't direcly trade with ther early. However, at top lane, her early game is incredibly strong against melee champions. Her kit destroys tanks and bruisers, and you can't reach her at all if she is smart, and she just autos you to death. What is worse is that she scales really well late game, unlike most lane bullies. The only downside to top lane Vayne is that her team will lack a tanky/utility top laner. However, this can potentially be compensated with the jungler and the support.

There are also a bunch of other champions which despite their strong late game, have potential to bully or cheese you early. Examples include Caitlyn, Gangplank, Karthus, Cassiopeia, and Yasuo. Speaking of which, what makes me hate Yasuo the most is the fact that his early game is too strong for a champion that is supposed to be strong late. His E and autos deal too much damage and I actually have to play safe early even when I am playing a supposed counter to Yasuo.

One of the only two champions that I find to be truly weak early game are Nasus and Kassadin. Nasus because he can literally do NOTHING without his stacks. He also lacks ranged abilities that let him damage and poke the enemy (unless he maxes his E and goes AP). He is also easy to bully. In the case of Kassadin, he also lacks a strong means of poking the enemy with ranged abilities (his Q does little damage without AP), and is also easy to bully. Both are the few truly weak early game champions.

Why many late game champions have strong early games? Is it because of how their kit works?

I've never played Azir myself, and barely have experience playing against him but I get what you mean. I guess those champions need decent early games because they need a way to get to late game. Season 6 is pretty snowbally, so probably having a decent early game is needed to help them get to late game.

Yes, but then, what is the point of playing a dedicated early game champion, if it will just fall off late, when you can just play late game champions that can be decent or even as good early?

Top lane vayne is pretty bad in my experience, she's a free kill for every jungler and is completely fucked if her opponent gets slightly ahead (which isn't that hard considering that she is a free kill for every jungler). Yasou is pretty irrelevant if he's not a really good Yasou, he immediately dies to everything.

Hes mid game IE PD spike.
